John Batchelor was interviewing Congressman Devin Nunes when he said he had breaking news.
The Congressman said the Intelligence Committee requested someone from the State Dept. brief them on the events in the Middle East, etc., and they refused. And didn't give a reason why. They would have settled for staffer, they weren't asking for anyone in particular.
He said it was unprecedented and had never happened as long as he could remember. He made a point of saying there was a great deal of bi-partisan cooperation on the committee, so it couldn't be blamed on election year partisanship.

I’ve had the honor of meeting CA Rep. Devin Nunes. Me, being from the ultra liberal Silicon Valley, it was refreshing to meet a conservative in CA, albeit not from the local area. He’s very young and from the inland agricultural area of CA, but very promising. I’ve been sending him messages hoping to see him get engaged in the battle. I’m pleased to see him speak out now. Watch this guy. He has real potential.

Rep. Nunez has been at war with the Democrats and the EPA and the California leftists for cutting off water to the San Jaquin Valley where his constituency is. About 40,000 people, the majority of them Hispanic, were forced out of work when the fields dried up.
Nunez describes this area as the vegetable garden of America but the feds were concerned about some kine of small pissant fish and decided to destroy the agricultural heart of America.

If we dug up the corpses of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin and propped them up like scarecrows in the White House and Capitol, they could run the government infinitely better than this moronic band of communists.
