Tired of Homosexual's Bullying
Townhall ^ | September 13, 2012 | reasonmclucus

I'm tired of homosexuals trying to coerce people into accepting their ignorant view of sexual reality. Their attacks on the Chick-Fil-A chain simply because the CEO says homosexual marriage is wrong. is unjustified bullying.

Homosexuals need to accept the fact that many people believe what they do is immoral and that same sex marriage is wrong. Most of us do things that some people believe are morally wrong.

A billion people believe that what I do for breakfast every day is wrong. Muslims and Jews as well as members of some other religions believe eating pork is morally wrong. Some individuals believe eating any meat is wrong.

Muslims and many Christian denominations believe drinking alcohol is wrong. Jews as well as Roman Catholics and some other Christian groups believe drinking alcohol in moderation is acceptable.

Religious groups usually believe the moral values they support benefit society. For example, those groups that oppose alcohol consumption do so because those who consume excess alcohol can become violent. Thousands of years of human history demonstrate the value of basing a society on marriage between a man and a woman. Religious groups understandably are concerned that same sex unions could have a negative impact on society.

In the sixties some people, including members of some religious groups, believed that those of us who served in Vietnam were doing something wrong. I didn't advocate punishing anti-war protesters for their beliefs even though I disagreed with them.

One of my favorite television show quotes is from "The Winds of War". Robert Mitchum's character, an American naval officer, tells a German military attache that he believes one of Hitler's actions was morally wrong. The German replies, "it was worse than wrong. It was a mistake."

In other words the action in question would have been a bad idea even if there weren't any moral objections.

Same sex marriage is worse than wrong. It's absurd. Same sex marriage is an oxymoron. Marriage unites the two different types of humans into a unit that contains the characteristics of both sexes. Marriage is a salt shaker and a pepper shaker. A same sex union is two salt shakers or two pepper shakers.

I strongly suspect homosexuals so desperately want people to believe what they are doing is all right because these homosexuals have doubts about the morality of what they are doing. They want others to reassure them that they aren't acting immorally.

Those who really believe what they are doing is morally ok don't care if others think the activity is wrong.

It never bothered me that anti-war protesters believed my participation in Vietnam was wrong. Their statements didn't upset me because I didn't think I was doing anything wrong. I may have had doubts about whether the people in charge knew what they were doing, but I didn't believe what we were doing was wrong.

I feel sorry for homosexuals. They are born with an affliction most of them don't understand. They are born with the body of one sex and the brain of the other. However, that affliction doesn't justify trying to coerce others into accepting their beliefs. Instead of trying to pretend they are heterosexuals by calling a relationship with someone just like them a marriage, they should be attempting to raise money for sex change operations that would allow them to have a body that is the same sex as their brains.

Homosexuals have trouble relating to the real world. They like to make believe such as by putting on black leather jackets and pretending they are "macho macho men". They have their silly little parades where they dress up in outlandish costumes much like children putting on their parents clothes. Pretending that a relationship with someone who is the same as them is a "marriage" is another one of those games.

Sorry, but I don't.

Why does anyone care? Homos are a joke and I just ignore them. I generally do not even care to talk about them even when they are not around. What is the point?

Its a mental disorder. And was properly classified as such 40 years ago.

Sorry, but I think the author is off base on this subject. "Born that way" is the pro-homosexual argument and the title of an awful pop song by a disillusioned pop singer. The comment about the brain is also completely ridiculous. This kind of ignorance only fuels the belief that conservatives are knuckle dragging idiots.

Faggies think they own the rest of us. Chick Fil-A was supposed to be out of business by now.

“Those who really believe what they are doing is morally ok don’t care if others think the activity is wrong.”

Exactly. They’re like overgrown preschoolers who want mommy and daddy(in the form of the state) to assure them what they’re doing is OK by criminalizing disagreement with them.

[Homosexuals] are born with the body of one sex and the brain of the other.

There is still no scientific evidence to support the born that way theory. None. On the other hand, there is plenty of scientific evidence the environment in which we are raised is key. Even scientists with an attraction to the same sex do not believe they will ever find evidence homosexuals are born that way. Of course, you won't hear that from the media. You have to actually read the scientific studies.

Actually, there’s a study from a few years ago that involved brain dissection. There’s a bundle of nerves that runs around the hypothalamus which is much smaller in females than in males.

The researchers found that men who identified as transgender had the smaller “female” sized bundle but men who identified as gay had the normal male size.

What a badly written article. I’m surprised this came from townhall.

Very strange.

If you really read the study and believe you understood the study, write or call the scientists and ask if what you wrote is true. I can save you the time and tell you they will never state their study supports the idea that some are born with an attraction to the same sex. Still, do it and get back to me.

I'm not going to ask you to do something for which I don't already know the answer.

This is it, in a nutshell. This is why their agenda has been so pervasive and invasive.

That’s because it was posted in the Townhall blogs section, not the online magazine.

There’s a 100% chance that if you go back and actually bother to read what I posted, you’ll discover I said the researchers found that there was no structural difference in the hypothalamus between men who are straight and men who identify as homosexual.

What they found were differences with men who self-identified as women, which has absolutely nothing to do with sexual attractions but tends to support the long-held idea that transgenders are males with estrogen-induced brain damage.

Here's what I originally said:
There is still no scientific evidence to support the born that way theory. None. On the other hand, there is plenty of scientific evidence the environment in which we are raised is key. Even scientists with an attraction to the same sex do not believe they will ever find evidence homosexuals are born that way. Of course, you won't hear that from the media. Then you replied with:
Actually, there’s a study from a few years ago that involved brain dissection. There’s a bundle of nerves that runs around the hypothalamus which is much smaller in females than in males.

The researchers found that men who identified as transgender had the smaller “female” sized bundle but men who identified as gay had the normal male size.

Your "Actually" implies what I said wasn't correct when what I said was 100% correct. There is still no scientific evidence homosexuals are born that way.

And if the study to which you refer is from Simon Levay, even he doesn't believe his study supports the born that way theory. Here is what Levay said regarding his hypothalamus study: I did not prove that homosexuality is genetic, or find a genetic cause for being gay. I didn't show that gay men are 'born that way,' the most common mistake people make in interpreting my work."

If you're not referring to Levay's study, to what study are you referring?

Seriously. What the hell are you talking about?

I have stated twice - and will now reaffirm a third time - that there is no evidence homosexuals are “born that way”.

This is my third post on this thread and the third time I’ve agreed with you.

Do you get it now?

Let me say it a fourth time: there is no evidence that homosexuals are born with homosexual behavior tendencies.

Are we clear on that now? Good.

I said “Actually” because, like you, I take issue with the statement:

“[Homosexuals] are born with the body of one sex and the brain of the other.”

That’s a statement I’ve never heard used as a physiological reason for homosexual behavior but “actually” I have heard it used to describe what appears to be brain damage in male-to-female transgenders.

Transgenderism has nothing to do with sexual attraction. They are two completely different subjects.

I’ve never heard of Levay. I was referring to Kruijver. ...And the only reason I found that study the slightest bit credible is because Kruijver actually presents photos of the differences. The study is reprinted here: http://jcem.endojournals.org/content/85/5/2034.full

Your implication that I disagreed with you is a dishonest interpretation of my statements. It’s annoying. Please stop.

We may find ourselves agreeing more if, after I say something you don't say: 'Actually...' as if what I said was wrong. It's a tactic used too often and I won't let it slide. Now, you've already explained you meant something else and that's fine.

BTW, thanks for the pointer to the study — I read the abstract and it sounds vaguely familiar but I'm not sure I've read the entire study before. I'll take a look. Still, what many don't realize is that behavior and experience change brain structure; which means we have to be very careful with our conclusions to brain studies.
