As a person that has spent three years in an out of Arab countries (1970's) that is the center of the present unrest I can say a few things with certainty. Without pointing political fingers you are seeing a very sophisticated radicalization process going on this process accomplishes two important objectives.

First it helps radicalize local populations into believing that the West is working against them plus it puts enormous pressure on local populations to participate or be subject to scrutiny from fellow Muslims. Conformity is the rule within leadership of the Islamic Facist culture.

Second it puts pressure on the West to shut down any freedom of speech that a government might construe as anti-Islamic in nature. I'm not saying Western countries will abide by this yet the temptation of appeasement will be there. Unfortunately we are seeing the rise of Islamic fascism that is extremely well structured and is not random. Anyone that tells you this is not a war is fooling themselves and you that's my view.

It’s time to deploy the massive fuel/air bombs.

I am Married to a Palestinian girl and I can tell you the situation can be summed up by this:

Groups who want power (The Brotherhood or PLO) whip up the population into a frenzy, they kick out their current rulers and replace them with the Brotherhood/Taliban/whoever and the population is still no better than they were.

Rinse, repeat, bloodbath etc etc

I’m reading the Bonhoeffer biography right now and this sounds eerily similar to the Nazis...only on a much BIGGER scale. Imagine that...

And Obama, Hitlary, et al, are aiding and abetting.

With the exception that during WWII we identified nazis as enemies and did not allow them to immigrate.

Today Congress gives this bloodthirsty ‘religion’ 1st Amendment protection and declares them a ROP while Christians in muslim countries have no rights at all.

Where has our logic and common sense gone?

I've been reading recently histories of the British monarchies with Protestants burning Catholics then Catholics burning Protestants. It took over a hundred years to work through that in England and Europe to evolve into secular wars between nations. And then came the murderous ideologies of Fascism and Communism.

Without America's intervention in WWII, Europe today would likely be divided between the Nazis and the Communists.

My conclusion is what we're seeing in the Middle East is the norm, not the exception, for the human species.

If you’re dropping FAE, it doesn’t necessarily have to be massive (if you’re talking physical size). The regulation 2,000 pounder works more than well.

Thanks for this insightful thread.

You wrote: “ - - - puts enormous pressure on local populations to participate or be subject to scrutiny from fellow Muslims.”

That got me to thinking that this would be a huge impediment to individual achievement in business, and selection of representatives for a Republic style of government. If so, then the USA Model would not be easily accepted in the Middle East.

Your comments?

Your absolutely right, think of it as religious statism, very hierarchical in nature one theme that I heard often when I was working in those countries was....... life is a test from God, you should not complain, be faithful and endure. God’s rewards comes in the afterlife for those who pass the test.

That really does not fit the Western model and for many good Muslims they want to be left alone we live in difficult times.

Islamic fascists see Western culture destroying a great religion decaying it from within, thus the war on the West.

Not hard to understand. They see us breaking what they view as God's laws, and reaping great wealth as a result. Their religion is as incompatible with the western world as Nazism and imperial Japan were. It's best we fight the world war early rather than wait 50 years until they might have enough weapons to win it or cause us far more damage and casualties in the process.

Newt just said the same thing about freedom of speech.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2931209/posts

It is no accident that the embassy in Cairo issued a groveling statement, apologizing to the haters for having inconvenienced them with American freedom of speech.

The embassy was simply following Clinton’s lead, set months earlier in her meetings with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The OIC has a long- term campaign to manipulate the U.S. government into defining any criticism or improper reference to Islam as unacceptable.

No one should be confused by this. As Andy McCarthy wrote yesterday, the Islamist definition of heresy would destroy American free speech.

And don’t forget Clinton’s ME girlfriend, whose family are big in the Muslim Brotherhood.
