I served 22 years in the United States Army through some of the most dangerous times in our lifetime.

I not only went everywhere they told me to go, I volunteered to go where others did not want to go for fear of injury or death.

I did this for love of my country and the defense of freedom for my countrymen.

In my entire career I never feared death because I was a U.S. Soldier and a member of the best trained and equipped military force in the world.

There was one thing I did fear however, and that is that my life would be wasted by a politician.

That I might be sent to some remote piece of ground to die for a political talking point, or worse yet that I might be hamstrung by orders that would not even allow me to defend myself in the face of an attack.

The fear that my children would be fatherless and my wife a widow for a political maneuver. It comes with the turf when you serve your country, but it is always in the back of your mind.

That has happened in Libya and two brave SEALS, a U.S. Ambassador, and another whose name and identity I have not yet heard have not only died, but were murdered in a most disgraceful manner.

And for what?

The failed “Foreign Policy” of Barack Hussein Obama and his Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

It has been disclosed that the brave individuals that died were not even afforded the luxury of ammo with which to defend themselves and our country’s sovereign ground. Perhaps the State Department feared that some of the murderers might be injured unnecessarily?

The events that are unfolding in far-flung reaches of the Islamic world were absolutely foreseeable, and measures have not been taken to defend our sovereignty and protect our personnel that trusted our government to have their back.

Instead, our “Leaders” apologized to the killers.

And our President?

He continues to campaign for re-election as the world burns down around us.

I am appalled, disgusted, and deeply saddened.

Only soldiers know the true dangers of war. Those on the battle field and those as consequences of POLs.

What a loss of great soldiers. Imagine SEALS unarmed in battle.

And our president turned the return of these fine military men into a photo op for his re-election. He is a disgrace to everything this country stands for and to everything our fighting forces have fought, bleed and died for.

That is disgraceful and I think about Fort Hood how the soldiers were not allowed to be armed either. Makes you just want to cry and yell at the same time. Meanwhile our President is fund raising and his party and the media are blaming Romney for making comments and apologizing to the culprits of the attacks.

The writer feared his life being wasted by a politician ... that is my fear for my two boys who are nearing military age. I’m sure if they joined up or were drafted they would be proud to serve ... but the thought of them being sent to some God-forsaken Armpit-istan country for political reasons makes me want to cry.

My son just enlisted in the USMC. Since he was very little, he has wanted to be a US Marine. My late father was a hero, an Army officer, and I could always support my boy’s ambition. But now I’m afraid this homosexual druggie Muslim in the White House is going to send him to die for some stupid p.r. screw-up Obama has made.

I fully agree with you my good man, having been enlisted myself I know better than to call you sir, we both worked for a living. It is a shame and in my eyes a crime that these men were murdered with the full aid of the administration, who even now sit on their fat asses and watch the world burn around our embassies and our troops. We are long past apologies and there is no need to apologize to the animals who do what these do, to them it is a sign of weakness, they understand only force and disrespect, it is time for the pig blood and pig skins to resurface. I think that we are near the day that the military will have to make known their opinions on existential issues vis-a-vis the Country;

I am fond of repeating what Abe told me about the Republic as viewed from the "other side."

You now have two Americas. In my opinion, it will not cease until a crisis shall have been reached and passed. "A house divided against itself cannot stand." I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half statist and half free; I do not expect the house to fall; but I do expect it will cease to be divided. In my opinion the military is one day going to have to choose sides. I hope it's our side against the 1960s radicals.. 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats were celebrated in the MSM as the most intelligent generation ever!. They are now arguably that very establishment that praised them and they hold themselves and their ideological issue in even higher regard.
