religion and free speech

I am of the opinion that no human or human invention or human system of belief is above introspection, criticism, question or satire, none. Everyone’s belief system has flaws, Islam is no different, it is not above investigation, it is not above nor question of the people that deliver the text or messages. The prophet was a man, subject to the same temptations each and everyone of us have, and he was not perfect. Open and honest conversations regarding the prophet and Islam are not hate speech, or anti-Islam. They are just open and honest observations regarding the beliefs and acts in the name of Islam. Condemning, or trying to supress open and honest discussion about Islam only emboldens radical Islam further.

Muslims might love their religion and want to defend it, and they have a right to their beliefs, but so does everyone else. Islam does not have the right to violently suppress criticism and investigation of the truth of Islam. That would be wrong in Christianity, the bible, and Islam as well. For the clerics to espouse any other view is simply a power play designed to keep their power through any and all means at their disposal, moral or immoral. Killing and violence for insults? Since when do we tolerate this?

Why is it that the Islam should be treated as the only true and correct religion on the planet? Is it simply that we do not want to offend Muslims? Are we just scared of them? Or is it that theirs is “the one and only true word of God?” Why can they kill, maim, and destroy with impunity and no other person or groups can? Is this Gods will?

It is a hard and fast truth that the Islamic cleric hierarchy does permit and encourage violence and terror to further the goals of Islam. That is the way they maintain their temporal power. If you disagree, then just look at the Islamic countries.

Calling any and all criticism of Islam bigotry, is very one sided view, and can be characterized as bigotry itself, even tyranny as it allows no tolerance for question or criticism nor correction.

If you commit terrorist acts, war, jihad or any other type of crimes in the name of Islam, Christianity, religion or some cause, those are still just crimes. Or in religious terms: sin. Sin, or crimes, are condemned by God, the Bible and the Koran as wrong and to be avoided. Sure there are those Muslim voices that say Islam is not violent, and Islam does not believe in violence. However the just look at the Muslim Clerics and their calls for jihad, and the submission or destruction of anyone and anything not Muslim and you will see the truth. After all, one can lie about what one believes.

With the attitude of “you believe our way or you die”, the clerics that advocate violence are no better than the Nazi's on the 1930's. Now some may say that this is an unfair outlook, but if you analyze the two systems of enforcing their beliefs, what is the difference?

It is not easy to hear criticism of ones beliefs, we all experience that from time to time. If the Muslims are allowed to react violently, and suppress free speech then they have gained the upper hand, and we are only encouraging and allowing it to continue by apologizing for any criticism of Islam, especially radical Islam, and/or appeasing the groups calling for violence.

Free speech is still alive and well. No one can require or legislate that we not offend certain groups. Abridging free speech in that way is not the basis of freedom, it is the basis of tyranny.

John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

It’s starting to become more and more apparent that Islam is the anti-christ.
