“Hobbes and Bacon” is a “Calvin and Hobbes” tribute that takes place 26 years later. I had nothing to with creating these cartoons – I am merely posting them here so that you can see them. There are four – and only four – but that’s enough to get the message across. You can see larger versions of the images by clicking twice on each image:

My favorite is Calvin is standing in the middle of the living room and he's holding a splintered, badly chewed up baseball bat and the room looks like it's been sprayed with machine gun fire as he's been batting rocks around. His mother is screaming “Look at this place!’’ “What in the world could posses you do something like this!?!'' Calvin takes a quick look around and says to his mother, “Poor genetic material?’’

| Now, he's "too old" for "that kind of stuff". But I'll always have the memories. |
I'd venture to say that your son would rapidly respond with his own C&H jokes. Childhood memories are a powerful bond.

Q. Dad, will you explain the theory of relativity to me? I dont understand why time goes slower at great speed.
A. Its because you keep changing time zones. See, if you fly to California, you gain three hours on a five-hour flight, right? So if you go at the speed of light, you gain more time, because it doesnt take as long to get there. Of course, the theory of relativity only works if youre going west.

Calvin at the door: Mom Hey Mom.
Mom in livingroom: Calvin stop yelling across the house. If you want to talk to me walk over to the living room where I am.
Calvin standing in front of Mom in living room: I stepped in dog crap where's the hose?
Priceless... LOL

I think the Zita trilogy would make a good animated or maybe live action movie.
