I thought this would be a good time to remember the 53%...
I am the 53%. I had a tough life. My Dad died when I was 15. My Mom was mentally ill. After being passed around to different relatives during my Junior year, I lost all my credits, and never got to finish High School, let alone go to college.
I learned the way Abraham Lincoln did, by massive amounts of reading. Without people in my life to guide me, I made a lot of mistakes, that I had to pay for.
In my career, I worked hard and learned everything I could to be able to get better pay. Eventually I quit my job and started my own business. During years and times when I probably could have qualified for a whole host of government benefits, I never took them, wasnt interested. I was taught that the world doesnt owe me a living. I believe my struggles made me a better, stronger, person.
I am the 53%

And just like that, I done got me a fancy new tagline :)
:)
Great story to which I can relate. I too am part of the 53%
Just playin' around.
I don’t know why the Republicans pussy-foot around this issue so much. Its not a rich or poor issue. Its an issue of a lot of people from the blue collar working class up to the rich self made business man who work their butts off.
And EVERY family — rich, poor, black, white — has family members who work hard and family members who are lazy and expect someone to support them. If its going on in our own families, most of us have no problem telling the lazy layabout family member to get off their lazy ass and get a job.
53%
That would be 53% of American voters that chose Obama.
The only age group in America that went republican was the social security, mostly not tax paying, 65 and over crowd.
May I borrow that? I have a few liberal facebook “friends” I’d like to tweak.
If Obama wins re-election, is he going to blame the ‘previous’ administration for this current mess?
Hope they don’t call you nasty names.... :)
So true. I think that’s why it resonates with people. We’ve all seen it with our own eyes!
It’s what they do. :-)
Most of them are hidden, anyway. I don’t want their liberal spew on my wall.
