Mideast in Flames -- And Obama Still Can Do No Wrong ANDREW B. WILSON on 9.18.12 In the eyes of a worshipful press, of course.
The Middle East is in flames, our embassies are under attack, and four American diplomats have come home in coffins. So who is to blame? It's time for the MSM to round up all the usual suspects -- and to exonerate a president who cavorts with Hollywood celebrities and goes on the David Letterman show to demonstrate his famous cool under fire. Perhaps he will do a Top Ten list on why the U.S. should stand by and do nothing while Iran gets ready to launch a nuclear attack that will achieve its oft stated goal of destroying Israel.
In her own inimitable (and nonsensical) prose, Maureen Dowd began her column this weekend saying that Paul Ryan has not "sautéed" in foreign policy. Nor -- I will add for her -- has Paul Ryan drizzled, dredged, or deep-fried in foreign policy. She wrote:
Paul Ryan has not sautéed in foreign policy in his years on Capitol Hill. The 42-year-old congressman is no Middle East savant; till now, his idea of a border dispute has more likely involved Wisconsin and Illinois.
Perhaps a copy-editor (if the Times still has such people) could take Ms. Dowd aside and explain to her that sauté is a transitive verb: It is an action word that requires an object (you sauté onions, garlic, or other things, and you do it quickly; you don't self-reflexively place what the reader must assume to be your own bottom in cooking oil or foreign policy over a great length of time).
I would guess that she meant to say that Paul Ryan has not been steeped in foreign policy, but then she rejected ...

I thought that suffering our biggest aviation losses since Vietnam, 8 Harriers and the squadron leader, this week, was massive war news, but is anyone covering it?
Are the people on cable or TV covering it? I don’t much of anything on it, on the net.
I've made 1800 phone calls from home to New Hampshire in the last seven days using the system set up by the campaign. Even 100 calls will make a difference. Who will join me?
You’re not the only one who thinks that has been ignored by the media.
Haven’t heard the first word about it....................
Ms Dowd writes for the pleasure of the useful idiot, a grouping where she fits well, who cannot comprehend the difference between an accent aigu and a doughnut! Is it surprising that she doesn’t (they don’t) know how to use French verbs properly?
Better add. SARC/
obama is shrewed and insightful- what other US (P)resident could have decided to not support the Iranian uprising, supported the Egyptian, and somewhat antiseptically the Libyan uprising, voted present on Syria, taken such a consistent value-driven position in all other regional issues, while managing to destabilize relations with Israel, renege on commitments to Poland and other allies in the ME conflicts, while at the same time denouncing and erasing gains in Iraq and Afghanistan. And then allude to the former soviets that we might be in a position to deal if he gets a second term.
This poseur obama is sheer genius!
If anyone thinks that 0bama will ever be held accountable for anything then they’re sleep walking. Half the nation could be sleeping under bridges and digging roots for something to eat and his sycophants would find a way to blame someone/something other than their Won.
Bingo! We have 50% mentally retarded voters. Period.
And someone thought Romney was so off when he said 47.
“According to UTSanDiego.com, Marine and family sources have confirmed that Lt. Col. Chris Otis Raible, commanding officer of the Yuma squadron is among the killed in action of the unprecedented attack that resulted in the destruction of six jump jets and significant damage (possibly beyond repair) to two more Harriers belonging to the VMA-211, the unit he commanded.”
“Camp Bastion was in close proximity to all the units they supported and this gave the VMA-211 the opportunity to conduct more combat operations and communicate more effectively with the ground combat element.
Unfortunately neither Raible nor the rest of the Avengers could predict the attack that cost the U.S. the worst air loss to enemy fire in one day since the Vietnam War, that has rendered the Squadron unable to support the troops in the ground and compelled the Marine Corps to fly the remaining two airframes back home.”
The press is like a dingbat mother with a psychopathic, sociopathic son that can do no wrong..
NOT her son... it was the “other guys” fault..
In a hyperbolic situation(like now) ONLY hyperbole will do to express it..
Any other weasel words is disinformation..
I’m on the phone right now trying to tell a friend that. She can’t believe that all her Facebook contacts hadn’t heard anything about riots at U.S. embassies around the world. I’m telling her to forget it. Spare herself the grief. You can’t educate morons.
Just think how bad things would be w/out Obama’s apology
tour. There would be riots, killings, violent demonstrations
and US flag burnings. There are? OK, never mind.
Muslims killing muslims doesn’t bother these barbarians.
The mere existence of infidels, however, makes them
butt-hurt beyond belief. I would tell the Mohammed mo-fos
to go to hell if wasn’t for the fact that they have already
created their own a long time ago.
Liberals know about these riots, and it's embarrassing to them, therefore they feign lack of knowledge.
You’re fulla crap. The people she’s talking to aren’t liberals and they aren’t feigning anything. Like 50% of Americans they don’t pay any attention to what’s going on. You do know that only 50% of eligible voters vote don’t you? Republicans and Democrats combined are considerably less than half the populace.
