We are in serious trouble people! We are facing an existential threat. And you’re shooting off round after round of friendly fire? What the heck is wrong with you? Did your Ivy League educations leave you incapable of common sense? Do you just have a desperate need to fit in at Washington Christmas parties? It’s enough to make you wonder whose side you’re on. Maybe you could point that gun in the other direction? (Rhetorically speaking, of course…eyeroll)

“Do you just have a desperate need to fit in at Washington Christmas parties?”

I’d bet the media elites only go to ‘Holiday’ parties.

Could not agree more...he is such a little (and I really DO mean little) sh*t. He always has to be the smartest guy in the room (or thinks he is). He should just go away...

It’s unbelievable. I’m terribly disappointed in Peggy Noonan. Used to be my favorite writer. She put out yet another post-mortem on the Romney campaign today. She needs to get out of the Upper East Side more often.

Wake up! There are 45 days left and this thing is far, far from over. Romney can and should win. The communist can be defeated.

This should be the lesson for everyone in the media, and everyone one else for that matter.

EITHER TELL THE HARD, UNVARNISHED TRUTH WHETHER IT IS POPULAR OR NOT OR ELSE STFU.

Kristol is an idiot. I have no idea why Fox has him on. Fair enough if they want to bring on die-hard libtards like Beckle, Hahn, and Colmes, but when you have people representing our side, pick someone who isn’t a RINO like Kristol. He’s just an uninformed blow-hard.

Who did Peggy support for the Republican nomination?

Kristol is part of the Dark Side. Never think for a nanosecond that he’s a Conservative.

Kristol is a Neocon not a conservative, but no matter. Why are he and a lot of others who are ‘center-right’ devoting themselves to sniping at Romney and deliberately minimizing by omission the scale of the problems facing the US?

A couple reasons but they are all related to how the ‘political elite’ view themselves. Kristol by virtue of his parents was born into the top of the chattering classes. He got an immediate pass to be ‘an important person’. To keep his credentials as such he has to behave in a certain way. Dissent from the accepted wisdom is only permitted in a very limited fashion. Neo-cons and insider ‘conservatives’ including increasingly the NR exist in part to establish the boundaries of dissent and the context of ‘conservatism and neo-conservatism’.

Certain things are not permissible. Speaking frankly about the debt crisis and the size of the economic problems we face including the consequences of de-industrialization is NOT PERMITTED. Why? Because it will (a) get the middle class really stirred up. Middle class Americans are to stupid to participate in any meaningful way in the political process according to the elites so they have to be kept confused, misinformed and if possible sedated so the ‘wizards of smart’ in the elite can get on with ‘continuing the elite dialog ‘ on these issues. Translated that means keep encouraging the politicians to keep doing things to make all of these things worse. Why? Because our foreign ‘allies’ and ‘partners’ have to be kept ‘confident’ that US will keep providing the dollars and let tem buy our debt and sell us more and more of our necessities.

Speaking frankly about social issues such as the impact of fatherlessness on both colored minorities and increasingly the majority society. On the impact of perpetual high levels of third world immigration will have on US society is FORBIDDEN. Why? (A) Beltway ‘conservatives’ are afraid of being called racists by the Democrats and the media. They are cowards as they have no real convictions only interests. (B) Most people in the Beltway establishment are beholden in some way to lobbyists and the interests that stand behind them. A whole phalanx of commercial interests (hospitality and gaming, agriculture, construction, tourism, and increasingly heavy industry plus unions, churches and politicians) want for various reasons the flow of third world people documented and illegal to keep up. Lobbyists patrol those interest very well and threaten those who stray off the paths of permitted discourse.

I have to go but will continue this thread later. Sorry.

I read all these guys posted on the DUmpster and they’re eating it all up.

Then you see the author, Bill Krystal, please.

I would like to know what the deal is with Peggy Noonan, she’s gone off the deep end.

Well, I have to say, it’s quite ironic that the Romney campaign/supporters are crying foul when the same folks who helped them eviscerate all the conservatives in the primary turn their attention to Romney. Kind of a “you made your bed, now lie in it” moment.

I sent him an e-mail yesterday. The one time I really liked him was when he went to bat for Sarah Palin when everyone was dumping on her.

Call me a dreamer, but I do believe there is a chance that via the new media and the Tea Party we can take back the party and maybe even see a day when some semblance of common sense will reign in this country again :)

Peggy Noonan is a speechwriter, nothing more. She came into the Reagan administration late in the cycle to boot so her credentials are solely tied to association, not accomplishment.

She, Kristol, Podhortetz, Frum, Rove.........they are true Republicans in the modern sense - they are party apparatchiks.

They should never be confused as conservatives.

Bill Kristol is his old man's kid, just like Chris Wallace. But for their family name we would never have heard of either one of them.

Noonan sells Republicans out in a nano second. Everytime she says, “Do you know?” at the end of every sentence, I gag.

I really detest these people. They push and push and push for a “moderate” like McCain and now Romney (the same people that preferred GHW Bush to Reagan in 1980) and then they get one and are surprised they can’t close the deal.

They must be insane.
