According to a poll released by Gallup on Friday, a vast majority of Americans do not trust the so-called "mainstream media," known here as the "Democrat-media complex."
Gallup said that distrust of the media hit an all-time high this year, "with 60% saying they have little or no trust in the mass media to report the news fully, accurately, and fairly."
According to the poll, negativity toward the media "is at an all-time high for a presidential election year," and is driven largely by Republicans and independents.
"Republicans continue to express the least trust in the media," Gallup said, "while Democrats express the most."
The results of the poll really are not very surprising, given the blatant anti-Republican bias in much of the media.
During the Republican convention, for example, American voters saw the spectacle of a biased media describing every word Republicans uttered as racist while largely ignoring speeches given by elected GOP minorities and candidates like Mia Love.

No matter how many times this is posted, there are some freepers who hang on their every word. Some of them believe the Guardian, Politico, the Atlantic, HuffPo, WaPo and they proudly post from these sites.

The MSM is responsible for hurting a lot of people and diminishing the quality of life of many, many Americans. They have been selfish, self-aggrandizing, and extremely irresponsible. They have no excuse, and it is time for a total reform of print and television news.
And they are called Democrats, not you, but the chicken littles on FR.
So many people are becomming aware of the utter BS these liars are trying to sell. My whole family hates politics but when they hear the radio & TV lies they laugh. Noone in the real world trusts the MSM to report the weather.
They sold their souls for pennies.
I am SO amazed that the Sheeple are finally coming around. Amazed, meaning “doubtful”, while at the same, time, “hopeful”.
They have overplayed their hand and a lot of them are starting to realize it.
I am starting to think that Mitt might be the most canny politician of our era. The “leaked” videos that most Americans agree with, but which the media was certain to go ballistic about, now the tax returns where they are hyperventilating about his suspect “charities”...
The rest of the country is watching with an incredulous “WTF are these people smoking?” look on their face. I mean, they knew is was bad — but most of them thought, OK, it’s not THAT bad, is it?

When you think of the MSM why not think of another large empty chair? Maybe Eastwood can come out and talk to the MSM empty chair too. He could go back and forth with two empty chairs saying the biggest two frauds in the entire country.

NBC News is a joke just the same as Saturday Nite Live.
There is really no difference anymore. It is all the same comedy.
You must stay informed of even the lies as they are disseminated as truth and if you don’t understand where the lie came from how can you defend against it.

It is not a matter of opposition research as you suggest, but rather people who for personal reason wish to see Romney lose.
It is too evil - don't even tell people how to use it.
Actually, Fox Cable has been making me sick of late. Can barely watch it any more. Every nite has been beat up Romney/Ryan nite of late. Actually all day long too, 24/7. Turning into the same inside the beltway elitists they once railed against, or maybe they are just showing their true colors now. If we lose the presidency this coming election, it will be in no small part because of Fox Cable News as well as all the other usual suspects. This is not good. The conservative viewpoint had exactly 1/2 of one station, Fox, and now it has about 1/8th of a conservative viewpoint via Fox. Not enough to make it worth watching now.
I will with great determination vote straight Pub for House/Senate/Prez, and tune out the rest of the MSM with the exception of certain talk radio hosts for the duration. That’s all that’s left to listen to, sad to say. Thank goodness for them and for certain web sites. The rest is a vast wasteland.
P.S., I’m tuning into Mark Levin later in the evening now, rather than the propagandists on TV.
