Federal judge recommends visa for Juana Villegas

Federal judge William Haynes signed an order on Thursday recommending the approval of a special type of visa for Juana Villegas.

Villegas, an undocumented immigrant, sparked controversy after she was arrested and shackled to a hospital bed in the final stages of pregnancy in 2009.

Haynes recommended that Villegas be approved for a U Visa — a temporary visa given to immigrants who are the victims of crimes.

However, Haynes didn't accuse the Davidson County Sheriff's Office, whom allegedly denied Villegas the use of a breast pump, of committing crimes. Rather, he ruled that Villegas had “met her minimum burden of showing that she is entitled to U Visa certification.”

The final decision for U Visa certification lies with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

In another order issued on Thursday, Haynes awarded Villegas more than $1 million in attorneys fees.

Villegas illegal immigrant had been deported once from the United States in March 1996...... She pulled off a big scam here.. Villegas came to the United States 14 years ago in search of a job and said she worked at a fast-food restaurant at one point it was reported in a management role. She lived in California for 10 years before moving to Nashville four years ago. She has three children––ages 14, 12 and 2––

From same story..."As Christians, we bear responsibility for what happened to Juana if we stand back and do and say nothing," said Katherine Dix Esquivel.

They do not seem very concern she used either fake or stolen documents to work at the fast food restaurant..It was reported she worked at Macdonalds in a management role.Doesn't seem to bother them she was deported once and returned. Doesn't bother them she has 3 kids and has another one. I cannot find a pic of the truck, but it was tricked out with expensive rims and was a late model truck.. I guess the taxpayers are sending her monthly checks for the kids.

However, the woman said it's because she is Hispanic

Um, so? Does being "hispanic" - whatever that is - confer some sort of Special Privilege on you?

This guy's a "hispanic" according to the U.S. government's definition:

So is the King of Spain a member of some Victim Underclass?
