Simply put, Obama fell asleep while on duty. If the MSM decided to report that the embassy had NO PROTECTION, Ambassador Stevens felt targeted, and credible sources warned the administration of a possible attack three days prior to the attack, the anger among Americans would explode. Obama can’t make it to his morning intel briefings, yet has time to golf and campaign? That wouldn’t go over too well, particularly when Americans are feeling surly because of a prolonged economic “malaise”.
There is one other elephant in the room that Team Obama desperately don’t want to be broached: Bush kept us safe.
This is a scandal. And even Sixties media is going to have to cover it.Sixties media is an improvement over some others, but there is really only one name for the entity you are designating. It is - say it loud, say it proud - Associated Press Journalism. All of the major journalism outlets are members of the associated press, they all agree that all are objective. And, as we all know, if you have heard or read one of them, you have heard or read them all. Their slant on the news is uniform - uniformly against the suppliers of food, clothing, shelter, etc. And all give positive labels to anyone else who is critical of the suppliers of necessities, and negative labels to the defenders of suppliers.
Everything that comes out of the mac daddy administration is a lie.
This debacle points out clearly that the idiots in this administration do not understand the Middle East. They don’t understand Islamists. They don’t understand basic international relations.
They are like the substitute referees in the NFL, except the refs only make bad calls on Sundays.
I posted this on another thread but maybe this is a better spot. I have read several articles that talk about 20 to 35 other people who were in the embassy compound that night and who were successfully rescued. Where are those people? Who rescued them? Why were the two top officials there the only ones killed? Seems like I also read something the day after the attack that talks about the rescue mission and how 2 more lives were lost, which I assume would have been the seals. Nothing about this makes common sense. Sure seems like this could have been a hostage attempt on the ambassador. Maybe with a rescue that went wrong. Would make sense if they wanted to trade Stevens for the Blind Sheik.
