Where in the hell are the Romney TV ads?
Self | 10/2/12 | Me

Where in the hell are the Romney television ads? Good ones, bad ones, any? Everyday, I see multiple, obnoxious Obama ads go unchecked on national stations; blatant lies and distortions that actually have half of America believing they are better off under a man who is largely responsible for their misery and poverty! Obama is the one who must be made to answer for four years of historic failure and radicalism, not Mitt Romney. I’m fully aware of the so-called swing state strategy, but sometimes when a candidate and party are so obsessed with a handful of contests, they miss the big picture; the heartbeat of America. It is a war of hearts and minds - not monotone drivel - that is only won with unflinching perspective and cutthroat common sense! After all, the MSM sure as hell isn’t going to do us any favors!

--A dilapidated, dingy room is filled with sitting media correspondents wearing gray uniforms; only an Obama symbol, atop of their notepads resting upon their locked knees, gleams with color. The hypnotized journalists are transfixed upon a giant, flickering, black and white screen; the words “Forward” and “Obey” routinely interchange with an Obama symbol marking each “O”. Obama’s face, stoic and ominous, fades to the foreground.

Obama: America…is better off than it was four years ago. An Obama symbol, slowly transposing over the stars of the American flag, begins to block out images of the poor and homeless, business closings, as well as scenes of urban blight and violence.

Obama: You…(intermittent images of our forefathers, the Industrial Revolution, and our flag raised at Iwo Jima, appear)…did not build this!

The pictures quickly burn away until Obama’s face resurfaces.

Obama: I…will not fail!

The menacing image of Obama begins to distort and flicker as bright, colorful graphs of unemployment, national debt, food stamp usage, gas prices, and home foreclosures emerge in secession.

Obama: (incensed) Forward!

The graphs repeat at frightening pace – casting shows on the faces of the now disturbed media – until the screen goes blank and the room pitch black.

Orwellian Voice: (echoing) During a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.

(Silence)

A blinking prompt materializes at the bottom of the screen. The stunned reporters turn to one another, before looking back to the front. The words “Attempting To Reload Constitution” appear before the blinking prompt.

Bedroom --

A teenage boy clicks off the TV with the remote. After hesitating in brief reflection, he opens a history book to a chapter entitled, “The Constitution: The Greatest Document Ever Conceived”.

Reading: “We the people, in order to form a more perfect union…”

A bookmark with an Obama symbol tumbles to the floor.

Pro-Obama commercials are all over the tv in Maryland...however, they are super PACs and not Obama himself so I guess that is a different situation where Obama is not wasting his money here. Although Maryland has gone Republican Governor before so you never know. Maryland would be a great state to win for Romney. Romney is liberal so winning in Maryland would not necessarily be a surprise.

He’s been putting a good bit in Florida, a very heavy swing state.

Ads are being concentrated in swing states. DC area being swamped by both sides as VA is a swinging State.

“.. in NYC and you would not even know an election is in a month...”

I am 2 hours north of NYC in the Hudson river valley and its the same here. I understand the logic of not spending money on a lost cause, but all of these new Yorkers have nothing to form their opinion but the lying and omitting MSM. There is not as much collective momentum (nationally) for Romney as there ought to be and I think somehow if there was some national psychological momentum occurring it would help. I would recommend ads of super bowl quality appeal on a national level in October.

Absolutely, the media 100% guilty of negligence.

NO, THEY ARE 100% GUILTY OF TREASON! We have to stop making excuses for those who are purposely destroying the greatest nation in the history of man. The media is not negligent; they are very actively complicit. None of this would have been possible without the active participation of the media. I hold them mainly responisible and they need to be exposed and shut down if we are to survive. Pray for our country because it is up against a powerful force of evil.

In the swing states. I’ve seen one or two here in Connecticut but I think they’ve made the decision not to waste much of their money here. Better spent in Ohio.

Pat Cadell, a dim pollster even confirms this. Read the recent article on how “in the hop pocket” that the MSM is this election cycle for Obama.

NY is a lost cause. This state is poison to reality and common sense.

I’m in Ohio, and I’m not seeing Romney ads with any regularity. My gut says I’ve seen 4 times the Obama ads if not more.

The Romney ad themes are that Romney won’t ship jobs to China; Romney will create jobs.

Obama attacks Romney on his wealth, his taxes, his hatred of coal, his time at Bain, his sending jobs to China.

I suppose Romney will decide to open the floodgates eventually. His rope-a-dope might work, if that’s what it is. If it isn’t, then it’s called the “be the invisible nice guy strategy.”

On the one hand, I’m surprised he’s still just a few points behind nationally, but on the other I wonder if there’s still time to redefine himself, because he’s let Obama do that unchallenged for a couple of months now.

It’s beginning to look like the gap is widening even with Rasmussen’s polling. Whatever his strategy, he’s either going to implement it soon, OR he’s gonna make all those donors stop giving, wondering when he’s going to use the money they’ve already sent.

and the GOP is just as guilty of negligence in not pointing out the utter biased hypocrisy of the media....they saw what happened four years ago and came totally unprepared to play this time around....what’s that about “if you don’t learn from history”?? someone forgot to tell the morons running the GOP....

Maybe he’s saving the money for all of the legal challenges that obama’s “Legion Of Evil Lib Lawyers” are about to file to contest each and every single ballot.

Maybe he’s spending money on important things like GOTV, not on stuff to make people feel better.

Well that didn’t format well, but you get the idea. Obama is outspending Romney 2 to 1 on ads.

WTH is Mitt doing with his campaign cash??

Are you in Maryland? I see them all the time too. The problem with him is Who is he????? I never heard of him, but what I am talking about is a conservative like Santorum who by the way would win Pennsylvania in 2012 unlike he did in 2006 when all Republicans lost practically everything.
