Lawless Obama Tells Contractors Its OK To Break Law To Get Him Reelected

Corruption: Our lawless president tells defense contractors they can break the law requiring politically inconvenient layoff notices caused by sequestration defense cuts, and the taxpayers will pay their legal bills.

When President Obama took the oath of office, he swore to uphold the Constitution and see that the laws of the United States were faithfully executed. He lied, and that lie was exposed in the administration's weekly document dump last Friday.

It included a memo from the Department of Labor telling defense contractors not to obey the law and that, if they don't, U.S. taxpayers will foot their legal bills when fired employees sue them for breaking the law.

That law is the WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notice) Act, which requires employers to give workers a minimum of 60 days notice before potential mass layoffs. These layoffs are likely due to automatic cuts slashing defense that will occur on Jan. 2 under the sequestration provisions of the Budget Control Act.

The law requires $1.2 trillion in spending cuts, half coming from defense on top of a half-trillion in cuts already made by the Obama administration. That means layoff warning notices will be required by law to go out to hundreds of thousands of workers employed by defense contractors on Friday, Nov. 2, just days before the presidential election, a prospect President Obama and his campaign staff do not relish.

Robert Stevens, chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin, one of the largest defense contractors in the key battleground state of Virginia, recently testified in Congress that his company was looking at laying off roughly 10,000 employees from its workforce of 120,000.

The layoffs would be the result of cuts to its largest programs, such as the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and the Littoral Combat Ship.

Sounds to me like engaging in a conspiracy to defeat a law. This would be a felony and as such a “high crime” for impeachment. I was awaiting the House to begin this endeavor and then I woke up. Bonehead would not touch this with a 50 foot pole. Speaking of Bonehead, he has been really quiet of late, why?

obama’s not the biggest problem we have in this country. The biggest problem is the millions of people who have their head up their $$$ and think he is the greatest president we ever had and refuse to hold him to the standards they would hold Romney to.

Lockheed should stand firm, and comply with the law. If Obama loses anyway, the next president might think twice before awarding defense contracts to a company so easily persuaded to break the law.

The only benefactors will be Obama and the lawyers. The taxpayers get screwed, and Lockheed gets screwed.

It’s corruption, plain and simple.

Or should be.

“high crime” for impeachment

We will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER see a President impeached again in our lifetimes. At least no Democrats. Clinton bought them all lifetime immunity with the way in which he ran off Ken Starr. The playbook has been written and no one is going to try again. Now all these guys think "whatever you've done just hang tough, attack your accusers, and you might make it".

And you expect anything different from the Emperor and his court?

Until the Clinton impeachment trial we were a nation ruled by laws. Due to the dimocratic response to that legal event we became a nation ruled by men. What we are now seeing is the logical outcome of that event - laws mean what the ruling clique decide they mean at that time, tomorrow will be different.

Yes, it is difficult and painful to live in a nation ruled by laws but the alternative is much, MUCH, worse for I have seen it around the world for the last 40 plus years.

He swore to faithfully execute the laws. He must be using the Latin description meaning to ‘follow up, carry out, punish.’

In order to be lawless, it only requires a person to ignore the laws.

“Lawless Obama Tells Contractors Its OK To Break Law To Get Him Reelected”

Actually, Obama overtly REQUESTED that they break the Federal law. Congress should have non-stop hearings on this issue, resulting in impeachment for dereliction of duty by deliberately promoting violation of Federal law in direct contradiction of his oath of office to uphold and enforce the laws of the United States.

Indeed, they should. However, that would require Congress to grow a pair, and you and I both know that'll happen when pigs fly.
