He cleaned Obama’s clock and CLEARLY demonstrated Obama is OUT OF HIS LEAGUE when it comes to the economy.

Not only did Romney beat Obama, he also beat that senile old liberal troll Lehrer who actually had the NERVE to try and ASSIST Obama in answering Romney’s questions.

FURTHERMORE, Romney DID it in a classy refined style without appearing mean or vicious. Obama, on the other hand, looked visibly ANGRY, flustered and FLUMMOXED!!!

This debates ILLUSTRATES the DIFFERENCE between the ACADEMIC (Obama) and the practical man who lives in a REAL world - ROMNEY!!!

I thought Mitt Romney was very effective, and was unusually specific in outlining what he wanted to do.
And I thought it odd and disturbing that Obama get coming back with "Where are the specifics?? Governor Romney always says he has a plan, but it seems to be a secret plan."

I listened and looked in at times. Mitt Romney cleaned Obama's clock. He offered substance and, his "replace Obamacare" aside, offered a positive vision of capitalism, the private sector and limited government. He did it with eagerness and very pleasantly. It looked and sounded like he was having fun. Obama looked like he wanted to be anywhere else...sullen, sour and full of lies.



Romney also beat Jim Lehrer, who tried on more than one occasion to let Obama ramble on with a stream of lies and then cut off a reply by Mitt. I think Lehrer was mad because the last section, governing, was cut. There was a "why do you hate the 47%" question in there and he didn't get to use it. Good!

The pollsters will use this Romney victory to correct their sampling bias. Watch the polling internals lose their heavy libdem overweighting and the pollsters will be able to attribute the bias correction to Mitt’s win.

In the first few minutes Mitt said hussein and Biden’s claims lately were “factually incorrect” or some such. Basically called hussein a liar to his face (which he is). Loved it. Also Mitt didn’t back down, talked over hussein and the moderator when he had to in order to make sure he didn’t let the liar-in-chief leave a lie hanging.

Mittens nailed Barry to the wall. He had a “deer in the headlights” look most of the time. Obama is used to people sucking up to him and not criticizing him. He’s extremely thin-skined and vain and arrogant. He looked very mad, but he did not lose it completely.

I agree with you... especially the part about Romney not backing down to either 0dumb0 or Lehrer, when Lehrer would try to cut off Romney without letting Romney respond. Instead Romney held firm, then rebutted the rehashed lies of 0dumb0 rather than just letting them hang out there unanswered. Great job Mitt, in tonight’s debate!

If you want to know how badly Obama did, then go to DU, they are devastated, truly, openly, shocked and dismayed, even the accusation of “concern troll” is temporarily set aside, since they are mostly in agreement with the conclusion that Obama was terrible.

Interestingly, a common optimistic response over there is that the media and fact checkers will flip this defeat, into a save, which is scary and another admission that even they know how the media operates.

Watching obama reminds me of the debates between G.H. Bush and Clinton. Bush didn’t want to quit but seemed to be tired of politics. Obama seemed to be trying to find the escape hatch in the floor.

Lots of group think here tonight. Romney’s arguments consisted of “I agree with all these parts of Obama’s plans” but then didn’t really specify what he was going to do different other than assertions and mindless philosophical ideas we all know he doesn’t actually believe.

On a purely emotional level, with outbursts and surface being the level by which to judge, Romney certainly won. But on ideas? It was like Hillary on an (R) ticket vs Obama.
