She's Italian (came to this country at age 14 in 1956), and I just have a feeling that she misses Mussolini in some way and sees POTUS as a somewhat Mussolini-like figure. She's been all about "social justice" in recent years.
She's been retired for over 10 years and receives an average pension. She's by no means "rich". Very middle class, and dare I say perhaps even lower middle class...
In 2008, she supported Hillary until the very end, and eventually settled with Obama when he got the nomination. She LOVES him and his wife and the entire Obama family.
I cannot comprehend this.
If someone is still stupid enough to vote for this atrocity a 2nd time then they should move to Venezuela, Cuba or some other hell hole that already sees eye to eye with thier stupidity.

I have two neighbors who are both 79. One is on cancer treatment for 4 years now & the other just had very expensive back surgery. They were both staunch democrats, but guess what? They are both voting for Romney!
Ever since, the mere mention of “Obama” gives her fits.
Let’s see, I’d mention to her “death panels”, 718 billion being cut from medicare, and medicare advantage being cut.
Death panels might get her attention.
But if she loved Mussolini, she might still stick with the usurper.

She’s your mom. There’s nothing you can do about it. Certainly try to influence her if you can, but it sounds as though you can’t. So whatever. Live a happy life, vote right, influence the people that you can.
Loving him and his family is a bad reason to vote for him. We are not looking for people to like and love and go to dinner with. We are not looking for royalty to admire. We are hiring someone to do a very specific job with a set of specific skills. Does she choose who to attend to health needs or who to repair her car and so forth based on how she FEELS about them or their family members? Idolizing leaders in a personal way is so last century, and century before that and so on. It leads to no good place...not ever. Surely she loves you even more.Would she then vote for you if the election were between you and Obama? If not, ask, why not? It could be revealing to her.

My 86 year-old mom enjoys trimming tree branches in her yard with her electric chain saw. The only thing she’d enjoy more is turning it on Zero’s scrawny arse if he ever got within the reach of the extension cord.

Does she have doctors that she likes? Does she realize more and more doctors are either not accepting new Medicare patients, or not accepting them at all?
Tell her you need to take half of her monthly pension to pay for someone else's (who doesn't have a pension) out-of-pocket healthcare costs, groceries and iPhone.
Hitler promised social justice and look what happened. Does your mom care about her children’s futures and their children’s futures? Because if 0bama gets four more years THEY’LL BE ENSLAVED TO THE GOVERNMENT’S DEBT THROUGH EXCESSIVE TAXATION WHICH WILL DESTROY THEIR LIVELIHOODS.
Ask her why she came to America in the first place. It wasn’t because of commie govt, it was to get away from it and to experience freedom. With Obama she’s getting what her family ran from.
My mother is the same, as is my MIL. Devout Christians, yet you can’t tell them anything. They won’t listen. They deny everything and keep their eyes shut and their hands over their ears. Like children.
