I have seen many debates in my life, but never before have I witnessed such a complete defeat of an opponent. Obama was so outmatched, that it was almost as if Romney was toying with the one term president at times. It even seemed like he was holding back a chuckle, as he watched Obama incoherently ramble on in a pathetic attempt to match wits with a man who's IQ is vastly superior to his. More then a few times Obama wanted to continue, but wasn't allowed to because I am sure Jim felt pity that he would just inflict more damage upon himself. Maybe that's when Jim Lehrer realized that Obama was going to get routed.
Near the end of the debate, when Mitt responded to the question of what he thought the role of the government was, you could almost sense him going in for the kill as he began reciting the constitution and what our founding fathers meant by the words they wrote. By then Lehrer must have known that he was witnessing a meltdown of his Manchurian President. From beginning to end, Obama was playing small ball against a big leaguer who spent 90 minutes schooling him on the fine art of debating. If it were a boxing match, Jim would have stopped the debate while awarding Romney a TKO.
What I witnessed was a real leader exposing Barrack Hussein Obama to be nothing more than a small time community organizer. A small time Chicago thug being crushed by a like a cheap tin can. It was the kind of defeat that many do not recover from, and only time will tell if the man-child who would be king can. Yes, in my opinion, it was that complete of a defeat.
Truth is, if I had not watched it myself, I would not have believed it, but I have never been so delighted to admit I was wrong. Yesterday I posted my opinion that regardless of how bad Obama did, the MSM would find a way to claim he won. However, even when Ranaldus Magnus handed Carter his ass on a platter, he didn't look as pathetic as Obama did last night. Now we can all sit back and watch the MSM begin their damage control. After all, Obama's own campaign was downplaying his chances long before the debate began, so I expect them to quickly change the subject as they get back on message that Obama is invincible.
On FOX news,(video below) Krauthammer may have stated that he thought Romney won big by two touchdowns, but he preferenced it by making excuses for Obama when he brought up the way George Bush lost to John Kerry in their first debate. He went on to say that, like Bush, he expects Obama to recover and do better in the next debate. So it seems like inside the beltway Charly has already began downplaying the significance of Obama's meltdown. (by the way, GW did not lose that first debate to Kerry)
As I scan the reports, it looks like most conservative and liberal pundits think Romney won decisively. Republican National Committee chairman, Reince Priebus, believes the debate will go down in history as "one of the most historically one-sided debates in history."
Liberal comedian and TV host, Bill Maher, tweeted: "Obama's not looking like he came for a job interview, Romney so far does." In another tweet he said,"Obama made a lot of great points tonight. Unfortunately, most of them were for Romney".
Bill Gasto, a senior fellow of the liberal think tank, Brookings Institute, commented that: "Romney did himself considerable good. ... I would not be surprised to learn that a majority of American people think he won it outright." Probably the most telling response came from MSNBC's uber liberal pundit Chris Matthews, who was so upset with Obama that he recommended the president begin watching more MSNBC:
"Where was Obama tonight? He should watch -- well not just Hardball, Rachel, he should watch you, the Reverend Al, Lawrence. There's a hot debate going on in this country, here on this network is where we're having the debate. We have our knives out, we go after the people and the facts. What was he doing tonight? He went in there disarmed."
I am guessing that Mathews has lost that tingling feeling he had in his legs for Obama, after he listened to a speech he gave during the 2008 Democrat primary.(video above)
I understand that somewhere between 55 and 60 million Americans were expected to tune into the debate. In a poll of 430 people by CNN/ORC International, 67% thought Romney won, compared to 25% for Obama. A CBS News instant poll, had uncommitted voters agreeing by 2 to 1 that Romney beat Obama, and in an experimental online poll by Google, 38.9% to 35.5% thought Obama was performing better early in the debate, but after the debate ended, the numbers were 47.8% to 25.4% in Romney's favor. All that being said, I expect that by the time they meet for the next debate on October 16, the media will have discovered enough problems with Romney's win to have convinced at least half the voters that that Obama had actually won.
Only time will tell, but it's no secret that I have thought this race was over before it began. That's why I am still upset with my fellow republicans who fell for the lie that only a moderate could beat Obama. I think any one of the Republican primary candidates would have done just as good against Obama, but we are stuck with Romney.
For those who are inclined to betting, two offshore gambling sites both have Obama losing ground. Pinnacle Sports, has Obama's at 73% odds of winning re-election, where as his chances were at 80% before the debate, that's a 7% drop. Intrade of Ireland has Obama's odds dropping to 66% for winning, down 12% from 78% before the debate.(since this article was first published, Obama's Intrade chance of winning has dropped to 63.9%) Finally, I wanted to share the video below of Sarah Palin's take on the debate with you. She almost felt sorry for Obama.
Air Time: 9:00-10:30 p.m. Eastern Time Location: Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York (Tickets) Sponsor: Commission on Presidential Debates Participants: President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney Moderator: Candy Crowley (CNN Chief Political Correspondent) The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, |

What many seem to not get, is that Obama was never supposed to be involved in the day to day operations of the government. He's just the front man for those who are really running things. They know he's an idiot, it's just that they truly thought Americans would roll over and die after his first term. They put out a clean and articulate black guy, because they needed a magic negro to sell to Americans. So they got a guy few people knew, and with the help of the MSM, everyone thought they were voting for Michael Jordan.
What they failed to understand however, is Americans don't just roll over, we fight. Like all enemies of America, from King George to Saddam, they vastly underestimated the American spirit. This election was decided in 2010 when the Democrats got their ass kicked all across America, from local dog catchers all the way to the House of representatives in Washington. All we were waiting for was 2012 so we could finish the job by taking the Senate back and removing the communist Muslim from the Oval office.Come November 6th, Obama and the Democrats will understand that 2012 was just the beginning.
I just wish republican voters would have understood that anyone in the primary would be doing the same thing. Oh well, we are now stuck with a RINO, and like Scott Brown, Romney is going to piss us all off, but it is what it is, and this makes it a good start. At least we have a young conservative to follow him up instead of the old RINO we had following Reagan.
69 million may disagree with our prevalent assessment of the debate; these folks have a serious need to delude themselves.
Yep. And it's also (on top of being lazy) why he goes to sleep when there is a crisis, watches ESPN all day when not golfing, never attends intel meetings, etc. He knows he has no real part in deciding anything, he just shows up and reads the prepared speeches and statements to further the agenda of those really calling the shots.
Bambi is flying to LA to “reassure” his donors.
He’s probably going to be coached once again in acting presidential and getting tips from his coaches and producers.
Probably a cross between the Danny Glover and Morgan Freeman will re-emerge on steroids.
Mitt should be prepared for the Actor to once again take the stage.
At least Ronald Reagan was an actor acting Reagan.
The explosion of liberal HATE the day after the debate was really a sight to see.
THE WORSHIPPED ONE IS IN TROUBLE, and it seems that every Obamaphiles duty was to spin Obama’s trainwreck. Gotta admit, I’ve never seen anything like it.
The ‘acting Presidential’ excuse really cracks me up. THAT BEHAVIOR WAS PRESIDENTIAL??? What a hot mess! What a petulant schoolboy.
“I still have five seconds!”
“Move on to the next topic.”
“Uhhhhhhhhhh...”
As Clint noted, the Empty Chair improved by codetoad:
ROMNEY LOST THE DEBATE! OBAMA IS IN CONTROL!
It is past time to fire Barack and his empty chair and have both of them hit the road back to Chicago!
So hit the road Barack and take your empty chair and empty suit with you!
The "Mitt lied" theme popped up all over----and the real question is if Ohaha thought Mitt was lying on debate night---whey in God's name didnt he say so in front of 50 million viewers?
Other cockamamie excuses for the Hush Puppy President's dog-eared performance:
THIS WAS FUNNY Al Gore said it was "climate change."
THIS WAS EMBARRASSING A Black Georgetown Prof said as a Black man, Obama did not have the white man's lingo to go after Mitt.
====================================================
RECAP----Debate in Denver----"The Day The Music Died."
So what happened at the debate? Maybe Ohaha was off his meds---- looking on the floor for his Xanax. Maybe he just got flustered----thinking David Axelrod had screwed-up and had sent him to the wrong venue? Ohaha sure looked like he didn't want to be there.
More likely, deep in their dark inner sanctums, Team Obama came to believe their own hype. They were so certain Obama was The One and Romney was the dribbling idiot they had dreamed up.....who never even hugged his trashman.
Too bad, the braindead Obamatons didnt count on how politically nimble, on-point, fact-filled and tactically clever Romney could be in a debate.......up against a sitting president who morphed into a smirking Hush Puppy.
Team Obama thought their wet dreams about Romney were real and that cool, calm Obama would destroy him in a debate. Huge miscalculation----one The Team wont make again.....but the damage is already done.
Romney isnt the same candidate he was before Wed's debate. Hes more credible, more electable, more presidential and far more of a threat to the Obama strategy.......and is surging ahead at Mach One speed in key states.
========================================
EXPOSED 2008 candidate Obama calculatedly talked about bipartisanship and moderation....said he wanted to be another "Reagan" ......... but once in office, Obama's true colors showed---he supported and pushed radically liberal policies on an unsuspecting electorate. That electorate now knows they were duped into supporting a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Like all second rate actors, Obama has learned that he is not quite ready for prime time.
I watched the debate again last night, just out of curiosity, and I don’t think Barack Obama did all that bad, in an objective sense. He made some coherent arguments and was not grossly off-putting. Sure, he could have stood up straighter, smirked less, and looked up from the podium as little more, but I don’t think those things are what did him in.
What I think sunk Barack Obama is that he made all of his points in the way he usually makes them, and people just reject them out of hand because they reject the messenger. They know that everything Obama says is a pack of lies and manipulations, so nobody is listening, anymore.
This is a disaster in the debate, because the only other person up there to listen to is Mitt Romney, and Mitt Romney was doing a pretty good job.
But the Democrats and the MFM (but I repeat myself) can’t stand to think that the mass of voters are rejecting their message and, more importantly, their messenger. So they talk about style, or the altitude, or the moderator, or anything else they can think of.
The fact of the matter is, most people are finally looking at Barack Obama the way we have seen him all along. I, for one, have always been immune to his charms, because I identified him as a smarmy snake-oil salesman the first time I laid eyes on him. Now the rest of the country has finally caught up, and there is no way for Barack Obama to climb out of that hole.
Duhh! What more can we expect from our first affirmative action president? After all, he never accomplished anything on his own.
Excellent observation.
To you and me, I think you could argue that he did so so. however, when you watch it from the view point of the American people who do not pay attention to politics like us, it was a HUGE disaster.
Remember most Americans only see what the MSM want them to see. Most people expected Obama to clean Romney's clock, because the MSM has been telling them for 4 years that Obama is the most articulate, and intelligent human to ever grace the presence of the planet.
While most American know the country is in dire straights, they don't expect Romney to match up well, even though in their hearts most do not even like Obama nor the job he is doing.
When you show up to see a debate between a man you have been groomed by the media to be flawless, and a man you consider to be stumbling bumbling idiot, and you get what you got on Wednesday.... Well let's just say that you do not expect the magic negro to get his clock cleaned from start to finish.
That is why it was so bad for Obama. Like I said in the article, "even Cater had his ass handed to him on platter by Ranaldus Magnus, he didn't look as pathetic as Obama did".
Romney was going to win going away anyway, but that performance lost Obama another 2% of the electorate, and possibly a few close Senate seats in coattails for Romney.
See this compilation of Eastwood's GOP speech and the Superbowl ad...
A gritty gut wrenching indictment of Obambi policies in 2 mins and 39 seconds
\ As someone posted yesterday....
Romney is 15 years older than Obambi...but looks the same age.
Thanks, the first time I saw it. It was good. I like.
Thanks for the heads-up.

I’d like to see liberals’ reaction when Obama loses the election. Those in the media will be on a total meltdown. this is the most entertainment we will have ever
