So much for the Reset Button. Clearly some Russian agents were taking premature advantage of Obamas flexibility.
An indictment was unsealed today in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York charging 11 members of a Russian military procurement network operating in the United States and Russia, as well as a Texas-based export company and a Russia-based procurement firm, with illegally exporting high-tech microelectronics from the United States to Russian military and intelligence agencies.
The microelectronics allegedly exported to Russia are subject to strict government controls due to their potential use in a wide range of military systems, including radar and surveillance systems, weapons guidance systems, and detonation triggers.
Some of this technology was going directly to the Russian military, including into advanced submarines so that the United States was directly equipping the subs that it might one day have to fight.
Some of it was going to the FSB, the successor to the KGB, for use in eavesdropping and espionage equipment.
The FBI recovered a letter sent by a specialized electronics laboratory of Russias Federal Security Service (FSB), Russias primary domestic intelligence agency, to an Apex affiliate regarding certain microchips obtained for the FSB by Arc. The letter stated that the microchips were faulty and demanded that the defendants supply replacement parts.
The quote from Lenin about the capitalists selling us the rope with which we will hang them comes to mind. This was espionage aimed at retrieving parts to be used in espionage.
The receipt of U.S.-made, cutting-edge microelectronics has advanced Russias military technological capabilities. NCIS and the Department of the Navy have worked closely with the FBI, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Commerce in this investigation due to the potential for significant enhancement of Russian naval weapons systems that would result from the illegal acquisition of these export-controlled technologies, said Special Agent in Charge Timothy W. Reeves, NCIS Central Field Office.
This network began operating around the time Obama won the election. And heres the irony.
Posobilov was arrested at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston on his way to Singapore and Moscow.
"....for another 150 million we expect much more than you have given so far comrade"
Hey Obama. Look into Putin’s eyes and tell him how you killed Osama Bin Laden.
Putin has the look of “How much longer must I sit next to and listen to this fool?”!
Putin plays Chess, Obama plays tic-tack-toe.
they can’t help it. thats what they do.
And some on FR swear up-and-down that Russia is our “friend”.
The USA should not consider any other nation to be our ‘friend’.
It’s what we do too. Don’t fool yourself.
>>Hey Obama. Look into Putins eyes and tell him how you killed Osama Bin Laden.
I would love to see that!!
with himself and can’t remember the rules!
Wonder how much Russian and Chinese money is going to Obama’s reelection coffers via small denomination contributions, without security codes, bundled in Singapore.
noob? If you only would know/knew. :-)
I’m not going to go back and research from years ago. There were high praises for Putin, ( reminder: so-called Ex-KGB - always KGB ), because he was the ‘first to express his condolences after 9/11’.
There were high praises for the ‘victims’ of the Kursk explosion and that ex-submariners here felt a “camaraderie” with the ‘victims’. I’m an ex-submariner and did not feel that “camaraderie” because I saw them as the enemy which they are/were.
