I am on a international forum, it is amazing how US politics takes center stage. I am sick of hearing how Republicans are out of touch, mean spirted, etc. I am trying to put together recent news items of Dem/Lib tolerance. Here is what I have so far:
Democrats, the party of Tolerance Republicans, the extremist right wing.
Where do the terms left and right come from? It is most probably from the bible: Ecclesiastes 10:2 New International Version 1984 (NIV1984) 2 The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.
These are specific examples of Democrat Tolerance:
1. Sam wore a Romney-Ryan campaign shirt to class on Friday at Charles Carroll High School. That’s when she said her honors geometry teacher singled her out. “First she told me to get out of class, then I say, ‘no,’ and she goes in the hallway and she says, ‘This girl is wearing a Romney-Ryan shirt,” said Sam. She says the teacher called in an assistant who pretended to draw on the shirt with a marker then demanded she take it off, saying this is a Democratic school. 3. Actress Stacey Dash has endorsed Romney after voting for Obama in 2008. She is being harassed for that, not boycotted, but intimidated. Right and Left go back to the French Revolution, to where the members sat in the Legislative Assembly which first met in October 1791. The more conservative members were on the right and the more radical members were on the left of the room where they met.

The Power of Media Propaganda Programming....
Because most here on FR are well-informed, many forget just how powerful media programming is on the uninformed.
When GoProud, a gay conservative group, endorsed Romney for president, the supposedly tolerant Joy Behar said on Al Gore’s Current TV, “Could it be that the GoProud guys are just attracted to Mitt Romney’s sons?”
Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a dumb twat and a cu#t. Yet Obama accepted 1 million in campaign cash from him. (which according to Maher, based on Obama’s debate performance, Obama apparently spent on “weed”)

Any international forum is almost by default a socialist forum. Best case. More likely Stalinist or Maoist or Jihad.
June 10, 2009 David Letterman made a joke about the Palin’s attendance at a Yankees game in which he suggested A-Rod (Yankees Third Baseman Alex Rodriquez) impregnated her daughter during the game. (The daughter in attendance was 14-year-old Willow).

Here’s a big story in Philadelphia highlighting the “tolerance” of democrats. This poor girl was harassed by multiple teachers and students for wearing a Romney shirt on dress-down day. Now she has to leave for a new school to avoid getting killed.

It is a site made up of mostly expat males in Thailand. Probably 60% European, 5% US, 10% Aussie/NZ, and everyone else.
It is amazing how us politics has a large following on the site. But the hardcore leftists come from the US.
