Clintons Look Set to Euthanize Obama's Dying Campaign as a Segue to Hillary 2016

Of all the people that Barack Obama has compromised, pressured, controlled, manipulated, blackmailed, and otherwise kept a lid on over the last four years, hallelujah at long-last somebody has turned and refused to lie for him anymore- and that somebody is Hillary Clinton: the US State Dept. yesterday completely dis-avowed the White House's dubious account of events in Benghazi on 9/11, forcing Obama to retract his earlier, BS-laden version.

Surprised? Can't imagine why- following a nasty 2008 primary, Bill Clinton and Obama have been what you might call 'frenemies', even as Hillary was co-opted/politically contained by bringing her into the Obama Administration. But it's doubtful she enjoys working for the guy, only the most fawning and subservient do for long.

Bubba supposedly encouraged Hillary to stage a primary challenge against 'incompetent', 'amateur' Obama, yet she demurred: is it possible at that point they decided their best bet was 2016- perhaps regardless of who won 2012?

If it sounds far-fetched, consider that both Bill's former aide and at least one Hillary staffer have remarked to the press they were 'voting for Romney', and specifically to 'propel Hillary to the WH'.

Bill's convention speech in Charlotte provided cover for the Clintons now surreptitiously turning on Obama on the eve of his defeat, pending investigations, and ongoing disassembly of the factually-warped Obama myth... while Hillary's lack of attendance -the first DNC she's missed in 30 years- creates political space for things to come.

Just look how the Benghazi debacle has gone down, the lies, the cover-up... WHY would Hillary take a fall for WH? Obama wouldn't spit on her if her hair was on fire, and everybody -especially the Clintons- knows it. Small wonder Obama hustled her into the Oval Office yesterday for a little cawfee tawk.

Neither Clinton has forgotten the way Obama screwed them over in the 2008 caucuses (+ other dirty tricks), and they're not what you'd call 'forgiving' types: what a perfect opening to stick it to Barry while setting up her run in 2016 as a 'truth-teller', all Hill's got to do is tell us that truth.

This epic opportunity for revenge -one created by Obama's habitual dishonesty- has been laid before Hillary at the most inopportune moment for Dear Leader- and it looks to me like she's taking it..

Consider this: she surely has created some space and set the stage for a future betrayal. It is too soon to declare her career finished because of Benghazi. Perhaps she is keeping some of her powder in reserve for after election day. Assuming (praying) that Obama loses, then she can unleash the bombshell that orders overriding her security plans came from the White Hut. She won't be disloyal at that point in time and all sorts of carp will come flying out as insiders try to distance themselves from the One in hopes of salvaging some sort of career.

if hillary was so politically savvy and the clinton machine so powerful, she’d be president by now . she had 2000, 2004, 2008 to show what she had but the impression I get is that she couldnt run 2000 because it was gore’s turn, didnt want to run in 2004 against an incumbent and when she did run she was rolled over by someone with less political instinct than she had.

Four years ago, I would have agreed with you. After watching the press omit/turn a blind eye to the POS thats been in our white house I can certainly see them spinning for Hillary in 2016

Benghazi will be "old news"....Hillary was just following orders.

I'm not saying this tactic will work, I just don't doubt the media's arrogance in thinking that they can sell this turd to the American people. These people are elitists. We are the unwashed masses. Frankly, as far fetched and unlikely as we think it is I see this as Hillary's only shot if she wants to be prez. If you were part of Hill's inner circle, would you want to see her ride off into the sunset or see her see the most powerful office in the land?

I’ve seen others go even farther, saying Hillary made sure security was removed (certainly, someone had to know what was going on), to create an October surprise for Obama by showing that Obama’s treasured “Arab Spring” was a fraud.

Even if Obama somehow squeeks out a victory in 2012, and after seeing 2010 results, Hillary knows she she doesn’t want to go down on Obama’s ship - and there is no way America will elect anyone associated with Obama in 2016. So why not help push Barry out the door now?

If Romeny does a good job of turning around the economy, he’ll be easily reelected in 2012 no matter who the Dems run.

But, if he doesn’t (and the economy is still in trouble), then Hillary can run on a platform of returning to the economic policies of the Clinton era. Which, was the last time people felt really good about the economy. It will be a powerful message with voters.

And yes, I know Clinton’s economic success was due to Republicans (the tail end of the Reagan economy and the GOP taking the house in 1994 and forcing Clinton into better economic policies). Still, the sitting president always gets the benefit (and blame) for what happened on their watch.
