For some reason expectations of Biden are decently high. I'm not sure how he'll do, but I know why he might do well...

You know, most of our politicians are old people. Paul Ryan is a fresh, energetic, enthusiastic younger man with a brain. An old guy and his tricks may just end up with a backfire. If people find Ryan likeable, they may bond with him as a positive change our country needs and Biden could take on the aura of Darth Vader.

I agree. We joke about him here, and with good reason, but he's actually a potent debater. Ryan will have to be on his toes.

Agreed. Ryan will appeal to the youth vote and Biden will appear as a rich old guy who is deaf to the world.

I hope that’s Obama’s brain he’s carrying and not Romney’s.

Doubt it. Ryan will demolish Biden. His biggest handicap is his ego that trips him up every time.

Wouldn’t it be great to have an article talking up Ryan instead of a parade of “Biden is a genius” fluff pieces from conservatives?

“He can be really nasty.”

Biden's debate advisor approves his outfit for big debate.

"Is this the same debate advisor that told Obama to be polite to Romney?"

Never get arrogant or overconfident and underestimate anyone.

Obama underestimated Romney and arrogantly assumed that he could wipe the floor with Romney in the debate

Don't want Ryan to make that mistake with Biden. Ryan needs to prepare until he can't get it wrong.

Let’s see, I know that certain critters have some strange secret weapons to use against their enemies:

Certain Malaysian ants explode themselves
Sea cucumbers can change states
Hagfish emit mucous that turns water into slime
Hairy frogs break their own bones to make spurs
Horned toads make their eyes bleed
Cats mess all all over when frightened
Skunks, well...

What is Joe’s secret weapon?

The secret for Ryan in the case of gotcha questions is to ignore them and answer the question you want to answer.

Example-if asked why he voted a certain way his answer could be, “I believed my vote was in the best interests of the people I served based on information available to me at.the time, BUT I also believe the American people are far more interested in our future plans to get America back to work tomorrow rather than dwelling on what happened yesterday...etc.
