Saturday Night Live too PC to be funny with a Democrat White House

I went to Hulu and watched the SNL skit of the Obama/Romney debate. They made Romney into the unlikable person, made him say the most outrageously false statements such as he killed Osama bin Laden (Romney lied-straight out of the DNC talking points), and even had Obama being excused for his performance because he was thinking about what gift to get to his wife on their anniversary (such a romantic fellow!) and SNL even made a centerpiece of Al Gore's buffoonish excuse that Obama was affected by the altitude. I just turned off SNL after I watched their skit on the Biden/Ryan debate. They made Joe Biden look animated but lovable, and made Ryan look like a maniac, and say outrageously false statements like he won the 100 meters in the Olympics. Take away the obvious partisan bent of these skits. For comedy to be funny, it has to have a grain of truth in it. The skits were not funny at all, and their nature confirms why I have not watched SNL in ages and why I won't for a long time.

They’re Hollywood. They’re mainstream media.

Did you honestly think they’d be different?

I just watched their parody of the VP debate, and despite Uncle Joe’s bizarre antics in the real debate, SNL downplayed it a great deal, and turned it around to make Ryan look foolish. It was completely biased and actually made Biden falsely look aggresive in a positive way. I can’t believe I stayed up for that crap!

Sounds better than watching the Tiger’s relievers pitch batting practice to the (@*&! Yankees

And yet you created a new thread and took a couple hundred words to tell us all about how it made you mad.

If they succeeded in ticking you off, then they succeeded. The Libs can now look at FreeRepublic and say, “Look how mad we made them! Hee hee hee!”

Well done.

They can't play this game too long without a ratings drop. Too many on both sides saw the Biden arrogance for what it was.

SNL ceased being funny decades back.

Waste of precious time to watch.

They are actually New York, but yeah, mostly liberal.

Many of their non-political sketches are hilarious and they do throw a zinger at the liberals every now and then...

notably...that I recall in “Weekend Update”...

NBC knows that their smear of Sarah Palin with misreported quotes worked. They will continue to stuff the strawman with arguments they feel they can beat.

They ran the Obama bug bird ad on SNL! It is the stupidest political ad ever made.

Obama has lost it.

The media’s strength is how long they will get away with fooling enough people who still think that they are unbiased, middle of the road, making those people vulnerable to their propaganda. The light of day is the best disinfectant, and that’s what I am trying to do.

I watched SNL once for a very, very short amount of time, probably because freepers tend to talk about it. It was so lousy that I couldn’t believe that anyone bothered to watch them. They resorted to really stupid, inappropriate, dirty language and sexual remarks, obviously because they didn’t have a clue on how to be funny. They sounded like a bunch of raunchy eleven year olds who just learned how to talk really nasty. It was so disgusting and foul as to be sickening and I couldn’t believe that freepers bothered to watch it. After watching it for a very short amount, maybe 10 minutes, (it was like watching a train wreck out of mere curiosity), I asked The LORD to forgive me for viewing such degraded garbage and took a shower.

I posted the same thoughts last week. Obama is always treated as above the fray.

If you saw the News segment with Seth Meyers, he called Romney a Liar and then went after Jim Leher.

Meyers said later in the week that it’s just too difficult to make today's Politics funny. We know that is only true because Obama sycophants like Meyers can't offend their Ruler.

The term “Useful Idiots” is not being used enough nowadays.

I have to agree. Today's politics are deadly serious.
