Birth of an Unbiased Media
Taki Magazine ^ | October 12, 2012 | Gavin McInnes

After September 11th happened, Graydon Carter famously quipped, “I think it’s the end of the age of irony.” After Romney slayed Obama last week, I unfamously quipped, “Liberal bias in the media is dead,” which marked the official end of journalists kissing the president’s ass.

We’ve already seen Bill Maher say things such as, “I gave Obama $1 million and from the looks of the debate, he spent it on weed!” and “Obama sure is smart, but I’m not sure if I’m gonna take his class next semester.” Soon Maher is going to form his opinions based on sources other than the Democrats’ talking points.

Back in 2008 we had a press corps that was clearly in the tank for Obama.

And very few of them have the spine to even consider diving to the bottom of the tank and pulling the stopper. They’d rather tread poop and hold their breath waiting for that “hopey and changee”.

The MSM will never change. They and their ilk must be defeated at the voting stations.

The MSM will continue its liberal bias until it gets to the point when virtually no one is watching their networks, reading their newspapers or listening to their radio. Fox News continues to soar in the ratings while the left wing MSNBC and CNN audiences dwindle for a reason... people are sick of the bias and condescension.

The MSM fervently hopes for an Obama victory as they expect that in a second term Obama will muzzle Fox News as well as end talk radio and Internet blogs and thus bolster their audience putting them back in charge of shaping public opinion. What the MSM forgets is that even back in the Communist Iron Curtain days the truth still got out despite the repression of free speech and opinion, a propaganda driven media and even radio jamming.

FOX news had a good run as a contrast to the rest of the MSM.
Now, it’s time for another to have a run before ITS inevitable corruption—whilst the ABCNBCCBSCNN slowly slinks into oblivion.

*******
The very types of people that go into the media are lightweights. Few if any have ever produced a useful product or service that benefits people in the real world. Their elitist little world is largely an abstract one of reporting on and criticizing what others do. Its like they never left the college campus and tidy theoretical academic world.

You’re absolutely right — the only way to defeat them is to vote out their misguided liberal heroes.

If the author thinks the bias has ended, he certainly didn’t see the same “debate” I saw last night. Little Debbie got tingles up her leg shutting Mitt up at every turn.

And then there was last night - - - -

Candy was handy to Censor Mitt,
No apologies there, not one little bit!
“Keep Obama afloat” was her duty charge,
Keep censoring Romney and make Obama look fit!

The Censoring Liberal Agenda Media (CLAM)
Will give Crowley her reward,
The First Woman Referee in Presidential Town Hall,
Proudly, so proudly kept Obama from a bad fall.

And now the CLAM workers,
And all Axelrod’s men
Will spin Demo glue
Over Obama’s thin skin.

And I’ll add that when I watched the CBS reporters on 9/11 (CBS being the only network still broadcasting in NYC that day), when I saw them absolutely covered in dust and debris, not worried about their appearances, and speaking about people and the country from the heart, I thought that the current crop of journalists and the news media in general had finally grown up.

It only took a couple weeks to realize that I’d been mistaken.
