I'm tired of hearing folks trash their spouses ... I'm not sure which I find more depressing:

The idea that they're right, that the guy/gal really is a crummy excuse for a human being.

or

The idea that they're wrong, but they feel socially obligated to trash their spouse anyway.

I agree ... both situations you describe are disagreeable ... and yet, we keep having these threads to stir the pot and get everyone to dish either the tiresome stereotypes or their own real, agonizing issues ... and ha ha ha it’s so funny.
