18 percent of Americans believe that president Obama is Jewish, according to a new poll.

A new Associated Press poll finds that 18 percent, or nearly one in five Americans believe that President Barack Obama is Jewish, from zero who believed so in 2010.

There are some other interesting stats. 77% say religion is not a factor in who they will vote for. I’ve said for a long time here I did not think Mormonism would be much of a factor (and 67% identified Mitt as a Mormon).

The survey methodology included giving people computers, if they need them to do the survey, according to the methodology described at the end of the survey. Sounds like Obama giving people Obama phones. The entire survey was done by a German firm with all German principals and German advisory board. www.gfk.com Common sense can not be discarded here at looking at the off-the-wall “results” of this survey. Do you buy the “conclusion” that 18% of Americans think Obama is “Jewish”? I don’t. Hitler went back three generations looking for Jewish ancestry, didn’t he?

Whether I buy it or not is immaterial. I think FREepers can make up their own mind on that.
