Poll of Obama Voters Show Majority Hope for Change in Second Term
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 27 Oct 2012 | John Semmens

A recent poll of people saying they will vote for Obama’s reelection yielded confusing implications.

Only 4% said they wanted a second term to be like the first. Over 60% said they hoped a second term would be “significantly different.” The rest said they didn’t know enough about the first term to decide.

“Nothing seems to have gone right the past four years,” said one of the 60%. “I still haven’t got a job. I had to move back in with my parents.” As for why he’s still voting to reelect Obama, he said “I believe a person learns from his mistakes. The president has made so many that he must have learned a lot.”

In contrast, a member of the 4% argued that “the president isn’t getting the credit he deserves. I got disability for my drug habit and with the Social Security and food stamps I’m getting life is a lot less stressful than it was under Bush. I’d say President Obama has delivered on his promise to transform America.”

I worry for the Republic. I suspect it’s days are numbered. I dread what will replace it.

Hopeless.  These people are totally hopeless.  How can anyone be so ... braindead?  It isn't working so let's keep trying the same failures over and over again?  This is the same strategy they seem have used in Detroit the last 35 years and we see what that has done.  What is wrong with these people?

This isn’t the satire part. This is true.
Here’s the poll:http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/i/MSNBC/Sections/A_Politics/nbc_oct_poll.pdf

Amazing!

“....they hoped a second term would be “significantly different.”

.
It will be significantly different alright — it will be the coup de grace for the country.

If that happens, history books will indicate that the USA existed from 1776 - 2016, a mere 240 years, destroyed by a mysterious black person whose personal history and background no one dared to investigate.

One thing’s for sure, we’d better get a majority in the House and Senate so the sonfabitch can be immediately impeached if “re-elected”...and we’d better be ready to fight because Zero WILL attempt to subvert the Constitution.

Idiots! A second term will be Hell on Earth as this imbicile pushes forth a radical environmental agenda that we will never recover from!

There seems a fundamental basis of understanding that sets folks on completely divergent paths.

I have a hard time with the idea that a Progressive/Liberal has any concept of logical thought. While I have my theories, I’d be remiss to include those that should know better.

It is so very sad to know that there are those that flat out refuse to dig for truth and a deeper understanding.

I have come to believe that we, as a people, are reaching a point that will require us to examine the facts and do some serious soul searching.

Cognitive Dissonance, is a bitch.

Great post and I agree with what you are saying.  Hard core liberals remind me of Michael Jackson, someone who simply refused to grow out of his fairy tale world and face reality.
