Fox News in Big Trouble when A La Carte Arrives
http://www.TableOfWisdom.com ^ | 11/9/2012 | Scott Ryan

Posted on 11/09/2012 12:24:13 PM PST by publius321

For the most part everything played out as I feared in this February 16th, 2010 article Coming Sequel to the Romulan-GOP Schism.

The thesis of our party splitting our conservative votes over multiple candidates, thereby electing the ONE weak candidate in the race became the reality. The pundits of Fox News who are mainly responsible for this outcome are now telling us we need to further abandon the fundamental principles upon which our party was founded. We need to further -become- the Democrat Party to defeat them as though this were simply a sporting event devoid of any moral rectitude.

Once again, they are wrong. Once again they betray us. We lose because conservative principles have not been competently articulated by a GOP Presidential nominee since Ronald Reagan. We have not had a true conservative presidential nominee since Ronald Reagan.

Sure we could finally start a new party. BUT why should we? The notion that we would need to start a new party is patently absurd. We are the MAJORITY. The liberals running the GOP need to be run out on a proverbial rail. There is NO REASON why we should have to abandon OUR party to a minority of 30% (at the most).

It is TIME for us to take over leadership of our party. My favorite founders Hamilton, Adams and Washington, unlike Jefferson were passionately against the French Revolution from the beginning and were prescient in their predictions of how tragically it would end. As bad as the French Revolution was, I cannot resist the metaphor that came to my mind after November 6th, 2012. If we have to have a figurative "reign of terror" to finally extricate these people from the GOP national leadership, than that is what needs to be done. Let us not forget their treacherous actions at the convention in Tampa to arrogate more power onto themselves. Remember their penchant for private jets and strip clubs with our donations. Their attitudes can be likened to the French aristocrats, not because of wealth but because of their condescension, impropriety and their breach of fiduciary responsibility as leaders. On that note I say - Storm the damned Bastille. It is time to stop pussyfooting around with these apostates.

Here's the message for the GOP establishment: There needs to be an immediate, mass exodus by these people at the RNC - or we are coming for them. Here's a message for the "Architect" Karl Rove, Fred Barnes and the entire Fox News round table who repeatedly manipulate our party every election: Disappear. Retire. You have done enough damage. Go out gracefully. We need to forget you. If cable offered "a la carte" right now, Fox News would be off of my cable package and replaced by TheBlaze TV. In fact, they will be replaced the minute I get the news. Conservatives have warned Fox for the past six years and yet they have given us the one finger salute. That is what is going to happen in a matter of time - so get your popcorn ready.

As I propounded in the "aforelinked" column in 2010, a mandatory runoff between the top two vote leading presidential candidates MUST be promulgated in each and every state where the leader has less than 51% of the party vote. In the following video I elaborate on this concept and once it is codified there will NEVER again be a hijacking of our presidential nomination. Never again - will the majority of the party be forced to accept the weakest advocate for our fundamental principles. Never again - will the 30% wag this dog.

(Video here) This full article that I wrote contains several significant back-links that I could not get in here. See blog for back-links and video if you would like.

Best regards.

I see no evidence we are the majority any more. Maybe we are the real RINO’s, maybe we should all become independents and simply vote for the best candidates even if they are minor party

Faux News has always sucked, and now they are just as liberal as the rest of the channels (not that they were all that conservative to begin with)

That was some BS wasn’t it?

I would bet if Newt had debated Obama the crap would have hit the fan, especially about Benghazi.

Mitt just grinned while 4 Americans died.

Fox lost the “conservative” construct years ago — it was a ploy to garner viewership — they are all washed up - fake - and no different than CNN or the rest of them...

I don’t even watch them anymore — a big waste of time...

The whole USA MSM is a waste...I think RT News has better coverage - and that’s coming out of Moscow!..or maybe the BBC...

US News sources cannot be trusted or listened to...

The party is divided up among a number of factions. First, there's the GOP-e. This consists of the talking heads and professional mumbletypeg players ~ the Roves for example. Then they have their well-wishers ~ Coulter, et al, and a trick bag of potential candidates like Christie, Rubio, and that crowd. We know who they are.

Finally they have followers ~ that maxes out to about 15% of the party faithful.

Second, we come to the Defcons, Socons, Fiscons, Traditionalists and Constitutionalists ~ they're the other 85%.

In this group it is expected that people will also have links, if only philosophical, to the other coalition partners.

There's no such expectation with the GOP-e.

If we have to dump those people, then so be it. I'd start at the top with the immediate purge of Preibus and his friends, and work our way down through the state committees ~ every one of whom who voted for Preibus need to be purged and the sooner the better.

We can give them an easy way to start ~ Preibus can simply admit to an extramarital affair with David Petreaeus to get this ball rolling. One scandal ties into another, and pretty quick you get the party cleansed of the losers!

You crybabies should stop whining. Do you really think that Foxnews was THE problem? FoxNews was the ONLY station that kept hacking at the Benghazi story until some whistleblowers started to leak useful information. Then, they just put it on TV for seemingly 24 hours a day. This allowed a good third of TV viewers to learn about it. Let me tell you, without them, there would have been 0 mention of Benghazi collectively in the media. Without Fox News the Left would have a total monopoly on their propaganda. Are there any other sources for information? sure there are. However, how many people actually get their news from those other sources? Not many. It would be back to the time when there were only 3 channels and all of them liberal...except worse, because in those days the media kept their partisanship very subtle. Today, they are to the left of Castro. So yeah, keep blaming Fox News if you feel like it. I will continue to support it and encourage the people who work there.

I’m watching Fox News right now...they just had a commercial that said BENGHAZI in big, bold letters and a teaser about Justice Janeane’s show tomorrow. Think any other cable outlets are discussing Libya? We need Fox news.

But we need to let Fox news be the CENTER of the political spectrum (which it is) and form a far right network to counterbalance MSNBC, the gay network.

Maybe before we go off half cocked we should look at states where we were successful, like my state of Kentucky for example.

There are 515,00 more RATS registered in Kentucky than Republicans.

State turnout was 59.16% of registered voters.

Romney 60.51%, Obama 37.81%

We won a House seat in a primarily RAT district by defeating a 3 term RAT incumbent (Chandler).

The only RAT who won a House seat was Yarmuth because his opponent didn't have any money.

This is an important statement that warrants copying All. This rhetoric about “far right” betrays who the RINOs are - every time. It demonstrates a lack of understanding of principles.

“Far right” is jargin of the left. RINOs, like liberals think that being moderate magically makes them the most correct as though both sides were divided 50/50 with equal amount of error. How prosaic.

Yes, I’m “far correct”. I’m extremely correct. That’s because of I have my moral compass given my God 2,000 years ago.

I see no evidence we are the majority any more.

You need to read up on the Reagan Revolution and Limbaugh's 'See, I told you so'. That was at the end of the Conservative's 40 years in the wilderness, and everyone believed there were no Conservatives anymore. Look what happened.

They are there, and more numerous than anyone imagines.

If you think Fox News was the problem you need to broaden your vision.

I just wish they would get rid of Shep Smith and Juan Williams. They are both idiots...and libs, IMO.

I wish Fox would drop "Fair and Balanced" and just be "Fair." There isn't balance OR fairness on any other channel.
