Obama's Brilliant Victory By DANIEL MANDEL on 11.12.12
Whatever else he may be, he does play to win.
Without doubt, Barack Obama has pulled off a brilliant victory and even those who dislike him cannot fail to acknowledge it. True, it wasn't a landslide: in fact, he is the first president to be re-elected with a reduced majority (52.9% and 9.5 million votes more than John McCain in 2008; 50.3% and 3 million more votes than Romney today). But a clear -- indeed, given the facts, a stunning -- Obama victory it remains. In 2008, Obama had called George W. Bush "unpatriotic" for harvesting a $4 trillion federal deficit in 8 years. What word, then, to apply to a president who has inflated it by nearly $6 trillion in half the time? Add to that some grim facts:
The national debt now exceeds the entire annual output of the U.S. economy.
Unemployment is higher today (7.9%) than when he took office (7.8%), remaining on his watch at over 8% for a post-war record of 43 consecutive months and even today above a 7% threshold with which no post-war president -- until this election-- had ever achieved re-election.
An unpopular signature legislative package: Obamacare, opposed as recently as June by 56% of Americans.
High gas prices, higher on average than under George W. Bush and more than double since Obama took office.
An unprecedented U.S. credit rating downgrade by Standard & Poor's and Egan-Jones from AAA to AA+ (August 2011) and by Egan-Jones to AA (April 2012) and to AA- (September 2012).
An American public which believes 52% to 46% that the country is headed in the wrong direction.
Why was a record of economic blight and general discontent insufficient to unseat Obama?

Because the Dem party is a criminal enterprise and the election was won by massive fraud.
It’s the elephant in the room that scaredy cats refuse to talk about.
>> Without doubt, Barack Obama has pulled off a brilliant victory
No, Mitt Romney pulled off a breathtaking loss.
Obama didn’t even muster the vote that he had against the inept John McCain.
Obama backed into his second term.
More shameful than brillient.
One could go broke over estimating the intelligence of the US voter. Truer words never spoken.
I guess to take the high road I will not express how I feel about those who voted for his excellency. When it all comes crashing down, it will crash on all of us, just not those who did not wish to go along with the socialist trash.
there are no explanations other than a sure Romney victory from all standpoints...polls, enthusiasm,endorsements,donations....that was cut down by mafia like criminal actions.....
Widespread and well organized fraud. Period.
Is the total number of swing state precincts where ALL Romney votes were thrown away over 100 yet? It will be. And NOTHING will be done about it.
Chicago antics won this time but will not work for the next candidate.
The only brilliance involved was on the part of the Machiavellian planners who spent the 20th century obsessively setting the stage for what amounts to a well-organized and audacious band of Chicago looters.
But I do give them credit for knowing that their enemy was too weak, too timid and too comfortable to put up any fight whatsoever.
Taking a page out of the W. Bush "It is not gentlemanly to defend one's self." playbook.
One consolation is that now Obama has to deal with his economy and the rest of his mess. However, maybe he doesn’t care and even worse, maybe this is just another stage of is Cloward Piven plan.
I keep thinking that we are backwards when thinking that the unemployed are outraged at the policies of the government that got them there...instead it would seem that the unemployed are just more rat voters.
If Rs let this go, that means they’ll also say nothing when “domestic terrorists” are rounded up for who knows what.
Since they stole this one, they can easily steal the next one, if there is a next one.
Could be true if another Chicago candidate runs with their backing. I sure hope not.
If this continues then we can kiss honest elections goodbye (although they are well on their way now). We either have to have voter laws - ie. requiring an valid ID, or we will become a third world country and actually need UN election monitors (not that it will help but it will be cosmetically necessary).
Doesn’t need the Chicago connection. Commie/muzzie traitors all over the place will help.

Obama will continue to blame events and others for every failure.
Seconded. I think Romney won (275 to 278 EV), closer than the pundits predicted, but he did win.
The stupidity and greed of the American electorate is breathtaking.
