Proposed Concepts for the Constitution of the New Republic of Texas

The United States federal government has usurped its power under its Constitution. It has become oppressive and unresponsive to the people of America. Under both major political parties, it has lost control of its fiscal responsibilities which will irreparably harm us and our posterity. It is time that Texans free ourselves from such oppression and peacefully secede. But before doing so, we should have direction for a new Republic. This document is an outline for concepts to be incorporated in the new Constitution for the independent Republic of Texas.

Reasons for Texas to Peacefully Secede:

(1) Freedom. We would control our own destiny. (2) Financial. A free and independent Texas would experience an unprecedented economic boom. People would be moving here in droves. Whatever debt we have to assume of our share of the US government could be paid off.

One thing the Republic of Texas would need immediately is a bank outside of the jurisdiction of the united states and its own currency.

>>6. What about the people on Medicare and Social Security in Texas? Answer: Either they emigrate to California or Wisconsin where their fate will not be the responsibility of the people of Texas, or they transition to whatever system the sovereign people of Texas may put in place in the Republic of Texas.<<

Interesting point. The argument could be made that since Texas would assume its share of US debt; then it is entitled to money that the Yankee government would pay out - or a reduction in debt.

I hear you but isn’t the problem more one of intent than words? For instance the fruitcakes who want to ban guns would say that an amendment guaranteeing an “individual” right to bear arms means that two or more cannot bear arms together or something equally silly. They always look for some way to twist the language and they claim that what IS written IMPLIES something else that is NOT WRITTEN but which they DESIRE.

Democrats will leave Texas and all of the God Fearing States of America with no choice. They will demand we particiate in unmitigated evil under their new federal laws.

Anyone with even a morsel of conscience and integrity will be compelled to refuse.

They will come with the UN (with whom they treasonously colluded and empowered) to force states to comply.

State legislatures will fight to protect.

That is what Obama wants and has always wanted.

Hardline communists like Obama, Soros, Stalin, Lenin & Mao have NEVER had any objective less than world domination. They blame whatever free countries that are left for the failure of communism - like liberals blame Republicans after liberals destroy nations with debt and demented social programs.

It’s fun to fantasize about an amicable seperation where they get to live in their failing Utopia and we get to live like decent, civilzed, God fearing humans.

The problem is that “Democrats” (misnomer for Communists) are evil in nature and deed.

Therefore, they cannot live knowing you are living as a decent, noble creature as God intended.

They will come for you until they enslave you or you defeat them as Reagan did.

Many hate to hear this because these reprobates are their children or descendents.

6. What about the people on Medicare and Social Security in Texas? One need not live in the United States to collect social security. Ex pat Americans all over the world get social security. Why would a citizen of Texas be any different?

One problem is, even though we all view our states as Red and Blue, The Red states still have almost FORTY percent voting for the other guy, and the same is true in the Blue states.

Anyone can run for the legislature except for a lawyer. We don't need the foxes in the henhouse.

5. What about the US debt? Answer: Texas would have to assume its share of the debt. But the huge economic boom we would experience would help us pay off the debt.

We should only assume the debts if we also acquire all the feds physical assets in Texas. We would be buying these assets by taking our share of the debts. Otherwise, no reason to take on their debts.

If they want to leave, no problem. We can assist in their relocation.

Oh HELL no!

Criticism of blogpimps is across the board, without regard to my opinion about the topic.

Fair & balanced. ;-)

Would Texas Democrats have to move to some other liberal state which was still in the union, so they could pursue their political destiny???

We can only hope!

Secession is pretty much a non-starter unless a lot of States manage at the same time and have adjacent borders. Else there will be a siege of sorts to keep them from trading among each other for survival necessities. Unless each State has everything it needs within its borders, it’s toast. The Dollar will become illegal for them to use and their own scrip will be worthless except within the borders.

And if they did, I doubt that the populations of Austin, San Antonio or Dallas would want to go with them.

Actually, there was an interesting poll conducted by a San Antonio TV station on this topic last night. A surprising 63% of San Antonio respondents said they would like to see Texas secede!

Austin is a given; they will want to stay with the socialists (we'll miss them . . . . . . NOT!); and Dallas could be a tossup.

Target reached, bull’s eye, hammer meets nail, bingo, on the dime, straight up, you have said it all.

There is no other scenario. The rest is naval gazing dillusion, an exercise that sucks up oxygen, delaying the look in the mirror when we each will have our “Come to Jesus” moment. Some of us, even here will fail the test. We aren’t sacrificial for squat anymore if it’s going to give us a hangnail.

What states realistically would consider secession?

Texas, Louisiana and Florida are leading the pack. When I was younger, I served in the military and went to war in a craphole to provide and protect democracy in a craphole that didn't really care.

A lot of my contemporaries lost their lives fighting for that craphole, but NONE of us went to war to protect an America that exists today. We went to ensure that America WOULDN'T become a craphole!

So, if it comes down to a choice between going to war to leave America the looming craphole and enjoying the benefits of the America the Founding Fathers left to us, count me in!! I'm not willing to play this game that we are going to fix everything in another 2 or 4 years. We're not. Things are already so bad and trending downward that, in 4 years, there may not even be another presidential election because Dear Leader LIKES his paid vacation at the expense of the expense of the slaves.

What now exists cannot be undone at the ballot box, it can only be undone (unfortunately) with violence. Years ago, I was willing to give my life to protect a craphole. Today, I am MORE than willing to give my life trying to protect the freedom, liberty and representative republic called America that I grew up in.
