Posted on 11/20/2012 7:24:35 AM PST by John Semmens
A Rock Hill, South Carolina, a middle school teacher was placed on administrative leave after her school received a complaint about remarks she posted on her personal Facebook page. The remarks criticized the Food Stamp program.
Rawlinson Road Middle School spokesperson Elaine Baker said the suspension was initiated after the school heard from a local Democratic Party official. In our view, the teacher used poor judgment, Baker said. It is inappropriate for a person employed by a public school to be observed criticizing any duly authorized public policy, especially right now. The country has been through a contentious election campaign. Now that it is over, everyone should be pulling together behind the President.
The fact that the teachers criticism occurred outside the classroom made no difference, Baked insisted. Even though the remarks were not directed at her students, per se, there is no guarantee that they couldnt be found by them, Baked said. For a teacher to give the appearance of disloyalty even if outside of her role in the classroom is still unacceptable.

It would appear that the Alien and Sedition Act has been reprised.
The Commie-rats love this kind of stuff because they can emulate China or North Korea. “Denigrate The Leader and you will pay!”
Glad I read the source first before commenting. :-)
Mr. Semmens got me again. Actually I wouldn’t call it satire as they have done this already but with the students. The teachers wouldn’t dare denigrate The Dear Leader if they know what’s good for them.
Soon not to be satire.
In college, I had professors who spouted their OWN politics and slammed a sitting President and his policies, routinely!
One of these clowns did this using the most obscene and filthy language I ever heard in my life...in or out of a classroom!
THAT was OK, I guess.
Dangit, John. Totally suckered me again.
Maybe not satire; see this link I found when googling the title:
Party official = SS
What a surprise. I wonder how many were suspended for bashing Bush. ZERO. And I know they said a lot more than just bashing his policies.
