The Law itself says virtually no one has to participate in ObamaCare!

Twila Brase, president of the Citizen’s Council for Health Freedom (CCHF) and one of the most educated of Americans concerning the ins and outs of Barack Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, believes the language of the law makes it clear that the overwhelming majority of people do not have to participate in ObamaCare unless they freely wish to do so. Brase writes:

“Obamacare has more chinks in its armor than a turtle without a shell. As a result, state governors and legislators can inflict great damage. The following amazing chink was discussed by a Goldwater Institute attorney during a Tennessee-based webinar on Monday (at which I was a panelist). It’s only 10 lines long in the 950-page version of the law:” (1)

“No individual, company, business, nonprofit entity, or health insurance issuer offering group or individual health insurance coverage shall be required to participate in...

The John Roberts SCOTUS will be the ultimate arbiter on what the law means. So I’m not getting my hopes up.

The problem is Obamacare will put private insurers out of business by pure impossible regulations that your company will not want to pay, so you’ll end up in Obamacare anyway.

Yes, Ms. Brase, well, by statute, Medicare is a “voluntary” program, too. Know any 65+ year-olds who aren’t in it??

The cited paragraph from the law simply states that as long as your company provides insurance you will not be required to participate in the new Federally mandated insurance exchanges.

However, what the writer misses is that the insurance provided by your company will now be under Federal control. Federal regulators can force policies to include stuff which will price them out of existence. This was the plan by the left from the beginning.

Once they have the insurance companies out of the roll of providing private coverage, then the second part of the pincer movement will begin. The Feds will be the only provider and they will reduce payments to private doctors and institutions, just like they squeeze doctors with Medicare today.

One of the elephants in the room is that Medicare has devolved into a giant transfer payment. The Feds refuse to pay providers at a good rate and the providers shift the costs to everyone else OR the providers refuse to provide services for Medicare patients at the artificially low rates.

Once everyone is forced into the Federal exchanges the providers will have no options. Thus, a lot of doctors are taking early retirement.

John Roberts could have stopped 0bamacare in its tracks, but he chose to uphold it using mind-bending legal gymnastics. His treachery will not be forgotten by millions whose quality of healthcare is compromised as a result of this.

The “elephant” in the room though is the fact it will never fiscally get off the ground. Libtards don’t do economics well, they will always cite the European examples, which only worked until now because they had 50 years to operate under a cost structure that had the U.S. carrying they vast majority of their national defense burdens. Even with THAT subsidy, European countries and their medical systems are falling apart, and we’re going to try and do the same thing starting from being broke and while maintaining all the other stuff we currently spend on? I don’t think so...

Fighting them is futile.

No, not fighting them has been the problem. I'm going to start working to form a third party. Can't be called the Tea Party because 1) they've already tarnished that brand and 2) the Tea Party is too nice for my group.

This is going to be the party that fights back. We'll label the Dems "The Pandering Party" and start an underground media blitz that will reach all in the end. We'll brand them as extreme crooked cheats they are and we will be relentless. We won't just mention an instance of fraud we will challenge it, fight it, and not let go until we win back our votes. We'll have different threads for young people that will give them ideas and hope to start their own businsesses and be true success stories. And we will fight the Dem's propaganda on social issues that now separate us.

Our big mistake has been to wait for the GOP to fight for us. They never will and it's nearly too late. This new party is just a seed right now but it will be planted and it will grow so that by 2014, we will take our power back.

Paying your income taxes is “voluntary” also.

The government follows no law. They are lawless. You can’t win in court.

Most regulations are voluntary. On paper.

Just try ignoring them, and you'll see how “voluntary” they are in reality.

That said, I'm all in favor of strangling bureaucrats in their own red tape. That many pages, there's bound to be thousands of ways to clog the system.

You beat me to it. Obamacare will be voluntary in the same way as income taxes.
