A 90 year old with dementia probably has no clue there was an election the first week of this month. We had a "second Thanksgiving" today with my two sisters and their families. Just about the time people were leaving, there were several of us talking on the front porch.
My 30 something niece met her husband at a young Republicans' meeting in Houston. My younger sister and niece were sitting on the steps and all the guys were standing. My niece's husband asked "Where was whorealdo standing on a bridge asking why 0 bummer was not helping the people suffering during the super storm in the NE like he did asking where Bush was during Katrina".
Talk about a slow change up over the plate for me. I told them that he was on his knees under the president's desk. Everyone burst out laughing and my sister and niece both spewed their wine out of their mouths. My niece said, "Uncle John, I'd never expect that to come out of your mouth".
She probably still voted . . . .
Heck, she will be voting for a dim for the 20 years after she dies. Come on, what is one vote this year?
Unfortunately that is probably true!
I wonder if they go after jackasses when out of their cage?
Day before the Dinner, our HR Director "schooled" us on the "benefits" of Obamacare next year -- 20+% increase in our contributory premiums towards health insurance, and a 50% reduction in our elective reimbursement (Cafeteria) plan.
