Conservative Grassroots Activists Launch pro-Rubio Site

A group of Conservative grassroots activists have launched a new pro-Marco Rubio website dedicated to electing him president of the United States in 2016, 4 years before the elections take place.

The Mission Statement states: The Republican Party needs a strong conservative leader to take our message to the American people of smaller government, a strong foreign policy, low taxes and a balanced budget. Our message is the right one, but it is being lost in the mist of a biased media and uninformed electorate. We do NOT have to moderate, we need to modernize and market. Market our ideas and our values without the filters that for decades our message has been put thru by those in the press.

Our goal, for the next 4 years, it to elect Marco Rubio president of the United States in 2016. A modern, conservative, well-spoken leader that can take our message to the masses, expand our base and reach voters in every demographic. The Republican Party needs a leader, Conservatism needs a messenger, and America needs Marco Rubio in 2016.

Sarah/Rand would be a great ticket IMO.

But he is massively pro-amnesty

That alone is enough to send me looking elsewhere.

Because Rubio’s were not citizens at the time he was born here, he is NOT “natural born”. I could not vote for him.

Exactly!

So, why the big push for Rubio?

How about candidates like Bill Whittle, Greg Gutfeld, Dennis Miller, etc.? Voters don’t take staid candidates seriously any more. They’ve been dumbed-down so long that celebrity and glamor actually help form their opinions (sadly). We need candidates who can win and would govern well. Sure, some are more libertarian leaning when it comes to social issues, but that’s preferable to the current socialist bent. If we can revert to basic Constitutional adherence and minimal government intrusion, then all else (social ethics) will fall into place.

“So, why the big push for Rubio? “

He is a great person. I like him a lot. He has a lot to contribute. He drives the left nuts. He just can’t be President.

I don’t think entertainers and those without governing or executive experience is the way to go.

I do think the actual focus of the tea party—which is pretty much limited to small government Constitutionalism and therefore inherently libertarian-leaning—is the best philosophy for hoisting a new, bigger but more meaningful tent.

The message that those guys offer does resonate with a larger proportion of Americans, and if it were the emphasis of a new party or of a newly taken-over GOP, there’s great potential.

But traditional ideas are radical enough, I don’t think we need or could well support ‘stunt candidates’.

No Rubio...

He is Amnesty-Liberal....very Pro-Illegal Alien Amnesty

And he is not Natural Born.

All those Liberals and PhonyCons who laugh and biatch about “Birthers” bringing up Obama’s lack of Constitutional Eligibility....will not hesistate to go after Rubio for his not being Natural Born. You can bet on that

Oh, and we have not even touched his Senate voting record...Rubio voes with the Dems as much as the Maine GOP Senators do

We need REAL CONSERVATIVES for candidates...stop wasting Conservative voters time and money on candidates who are not Conservative nor Eligibile

So I see you run a marketing company in LA—of the type that Obama’s campaign contacted about potential work—and this ‘grassroots’ site, as you so identify it, makes the same case for better GOP marketing that you often make here.

Why should we not think Rubio or his team are simply your newest clients?

Well they aren’t conservatives if they are pushing an amnesty loving Rubio empty suit.

Any one of the three, Bill Whittle, Greg Gutfeld, Dennis Miller, would do well as President. At the very least better than the last three or four.

So the fact that neither of his parents was a US citizen when he was born is “crap” now? What is your definition of natural born citizen, then?

Born in America. Same as the courts' definition. Again, nobody is buying this made-up birther nonsense.

You are correct - so long as fact, law, history, and common sense are all set aside.

Virginia Minor, a Suffragette, sued to be included as a candidate for U.S. President based on her eligibility under the 14th Amendment to the U.S.Constitution. SCOTUS rejected her argument and examined her eligibility, concluding that she belonged to the class of citizens who, being born in the U.S. of citizen parents, was a natural born Citizen, and not covered by the 14th Amendment. This holding has been used in 25 consequent SCOTUS decisions since 1875.

As has been pointed out to you numerous times, this is not accurate and is easily proven to be false. The Court made no such holding in that ruling (indeed, they even specifically state that is not the matter before them and not for them to decide at that point), and she was not seeking to be declared a Presidential candiate in that ruling.

So, curious, what is your real purpose for continuing to post this misinformation?

Eh...not really. A mixed bag at best on this issue. There was an article where he was denouncing Obama's illegal actions in circumventing Congress as unconstitutional - I'm sure you were among those on the thread condemning Rubio for endorsing Obama's unconstitutional actions even though he said just the opposite.

And he is not Natural Born.

Under the definition of that term as of the time the Constitution was adopted he is, and according to numerous legal rulings pertaining to the same. There is nothing to support that he is not. There are Court rulings which hold people are natural born with far, far looser connections than Rubio - even one where the person was just here for a temporary visit with their parents. Rubio and his parents are both here never intending to be anything other than loyal Americans.

Oh, and we have not even touched his Senate voting record...Rubio voes with the Dems as much as the Maine GOP Senators do

Of course that is nonsense. Indeed, Rubio's conservative voting record was rated 100% by the ACU and Snowe / Collins were both 55%.

What is the real reason you are attacking Rubio?
