In this case you may be tracked and inundated with other advertising - all with the intention of you buying something else.

You can't be tracked if you pay CASH.

So we should be idiots and pay full retail? With this economy, we need every advantage we can get. Oh, let me guess. If the coupons are available right in front of you, are you telling me you wouldn't use them and waste your money instead?

There's a huge problem with your attitude.

If people doing this don't alert a store so they can special order extra they end up short on stock, sometimes cleaned out completely. That screws up their supply chain management. They also end up having to deal with the cash short fall while they wait to be reimbursed on coupons. It also angers other customers who have no product to buy which hurts their shopping experience and makes them rethink where they shop. It's a low margin business, well under 2%, so every thing matters to the bottom line.

Because of this selfishness, companies have had to implement much stricter rules on coupons to discourage this activity.

But, people with your narrow-minded, self-absorbed view try to get away with it anyway and knowingly target new cashiers who may not be fully aware and experienced in the policy.

Um...no. Publix rarely ends up short on stock on sales items. In fact I checked a few Publix stores today and they all had plenty of Axe.

This is a joke, right? The supermarkets in question are GIANT corporations. This stuff is all streamlined so they really don't have a "cash short fall." Maybe you are thinking of some small mom & pop operation and projecting on to a large corporate entity. Actually that objection is so laughable, I shall be quoting it for its unintended humor.

Did you actually call a few of the Publix stores and "axe" them if they had plenty of Axe?

I always thought it was strange, that all the "axing" that blacks do, more murders aren't reported.
