I don’t know what may have made it from Iraq to Syria.

But Syria HAD chemical weapons long before GW2.

Doesn’t help when people don’t do their research.

I was making remarks about Syria’s chemical weapons myself back in 1997.

Remember those WMDs Iraq "didn't have?"

Well, now Syria "doesn't have" them.

This is all Bush’s fault. If he was not going to take them, then saddam would not have to move them to syria in the first place.

Damn evil bushamichimpy.

Thanks for this post. Many of us felt that the phantom WMDs ended up in Syria and or Iraq.

“As the regime of Bashar Assad disintegrates, the security of his chemical arsenal is in jeopardy. The No. 2 general in Saddam Hussein’s air force says they were the WMDs we didn’t find in Iraq.”

Should we start the countdown to when the left wing mediots of ABCNNBCBS and the gayboys of the NY Slimes, Compost and other gay controlled fishwraps put this in headlines and start apologizing to GW.

Didn’t Barry O tell us that Saddam did not have any chemical weapons.

Certainly Saddam moved his chemical and probably bio weapons to Syria. He used them on the Kurds and they successfully wiped out many Kurds, so he surely wasn’t going to get rid of them.

The US told him we were going after those weapons of mass killing of humans, so sure he got rid of them. I never doubted that for a minute, and thought dumping on Bush because they weren’t found, was a dastardly thing to do.

They moved trucks loaded with weapons, chemicals and cash. We should have disabled and searched every vehicle heading towards a border.

It was all in Tommy Franks book. In those interminable months of lead-up to the invasion, convoy after convoy of trucks left Iraqi weapons depot sites for Syria’s Beqaa Valley.

Strange, the author calls Assad a thug but he was trustworthy enough to keep the chemical weapons.

If so, this may be the reason not much was found in the way of WMD by victorious U.S. forces in 2003.

Partially true. Actually a lot was found in Iraq.
