Arizona Preparing For Wealthy Californians
Big Hairy News ^ | December 6, 2012 | Scooter Van Neuter

Posted on 12/06/2012 3:58:53 PM PST by WXRGina

The state of Arizona is gearing up for a wave of incoming wealthy California millionaires and business owners escaping the ever-increasing confiscation of their earnings by one of the worst managed states in the country.

Thanks to unions and years of out-of-control social and welfare program spending, coupled with the passage of Proposition 30 last month, high-income Californians are poised to pay the nation's highest marginal income tax rates - nearly 52 percent, and Arizona couldn't be happier.

"While we really don't need the extra traffic, we are thrilled at the multitude of California businesses and their wealthy owners coming to our great state," said Arizona Governor Jan Brewer. "I can't blame them - who in their right mind would want to live in that socialist swamp?"

I gotta say, not all the California residents fleeding this wannabe socialist paradise are wealthy. We’re still in the process of working and saving up enough money for moving expenses and car repairs. We’re looking forward to the lower costs of living in Arizona, for sure.

I’d be locking the doors to the wealthy left wing millionaires trying to escape CA.

They will ruin your state too.

Uhh, Jan, many of those same millionares helped build that swamp and put the state of California in the mess it's in. Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.

If people are fleeing, who will buy their homes in Taxifornia?

Well the oligarchs at Google and Apple need someplace for their servants to live....

Please don't hold that fake quote against Gov. Brewer. She did not say that. This post is strictly meant to lighten the load--a bit of levity in this awful post-"election" America.

California liberals think Arizona is too hot, anyway - our summer temperatures keep a lot of pests under control. :)

Are they going to sublet the rooms of their mansions to a legion of lowly workers?

No, the lowly workers will purchase $800k homes for 3% down and move in a half dozen families.

I know what you mean. The first thing they’ll do is what they did in Colorado. Turn Arizona into a replica of the sewer they crawled out of. There goes the neighborhood.

Roger that....this last election was close enough for me to see the hand writing on the wall.

If we do not turn the tide soon, we may be looking like a smurf or a worse a greasy californification turd

They will move here and try to turn Arizona into that utopia from which they fled.

PLEASE! Just stay where you are.
