The author fails to adress the most critical problem with the Republican party, its leadership. Unless those in power in the party are purged and replaced with genuine conservatives nothing will be done to correct the laundry list of problems poisoning our elections.
This begins with House Speaker Boehner. He is the poster boy for Repuublican corruption. His removal is the first and most critical step but only if he is replaced with a genuine conservative.
To do this there must be an outcry from the citizenry so severe that he will step down in the face of a torrent of anger and bitterness at his incompetence and failure.
NO CONFIDENCE in the Speaker must be a battlecry made by the base of the party that is unmistakably forceful. The compromise he represents is evil. It is tantamount to a capitulation to the enemies of our nation. He and his cowardice can not be allowed to stand. The party is over and the Speaker has danced his last dance.
