Feet In Two Worlds (Somalian Refugee Resettlement in the United States)
American Rattlesnake ^ | December 11, 2012 | Gerard Perry

Posted on 12/12/2012 7:28:44 AM PST by OddLane

One of the themes we’ve emphasized on American Rattlesnake this year is the damage inflicted upon American society by ill-conceived policies of refugee resettlement carried out by the federal government. Unlike past generations of refugees who came here from nations behind the Iron Curtain, Cuba, or other Communist states, the ones transplanted to the United States now are not educated, white collar elites or aspiring middle class professionals who have been dispossessed of their property and wealth by tyrannical despots.

Unlike the much-maligned Polish plumbers who have migrated to the United Kingdom in order to increase their earnings before returning home, they are also not temporary visitors. To the contrary, many of them have little-and some have no-formal education, and thus are encouraged to exploit our generous welfare programs by self-interested parties known as VOLAGs. Like the Kurdish refugees in Tennessee described by Don Barnett in his speech to the Penn Club earlier this year, immigrants from Somalia have had extreme difficulty adapting to life in the United States. Although some have prospered and contributed to the enrichment of American culture, more often than not we associate them with undesirable activities such as inspiring or carrying out suicide bomb attacks against their native countrymen.

Although that horrific act is anomalous, it is by no means unique. As the testimony of Abdirizak Bihi before the House of Representatives made clear, the divided identity experienced by many Somali Americans serves as a fertile recruiting ground for pan-Islamic jihadist organizations like Al Qaeda and its affiliates. What’s more, the much more widespread problems of drug abuse, violence-especially the type linked to organized crime-and welfare exploitation are endemic to large swathes of these communities.

Minneapolis has a larger Somali population than Mogadishu and is rapidly beginning to look like a third world nation. The Somalis there have no interest in becoming part of America and are being radicalized by al Quida front groups. Some 20 Somalis from the Twin Cities were sent to Somali for terrorist training and who know how many are being trained locally.

Yep, here in Middle TN we are loaded up with Somalis, Kurds, Central Americans, etc. For some reason the State Dept decided we were a great region to dump refugees. It goes back to the time of the Boat People; we got a lot of Laotians at time.

Some of these folks are fine; our next door neighbor is Nashville policeman who is second-generation Nashville-Laotion. A lot of these refugee groups formed mafia-style gangs, however.

A couple of years ago, ICE raided Tyson Foods in Shelbyville and kicked out a bunch of illegal Mexicans. Tysons promptly replaced them with Somalis. They are all Moslems and voted to have end of Ramadan as a holiday rather than Labor Day. They may be "legal," but I preferred the Mexicans.

I’ll take Polish plumbers any day. They were never brought up to hate people of another religion. They were never taught to rape, maim and kill innocent people. They don’t mutilate their women.

USA “immigration” policy is designed to bring the noble experiment to an end.

Yeah, Don Barnett explained how problematic the Kurdish refugees were in a speech to the Penn Club at the beginning of the year.

The worst part is that the places where these people are being dropped have no input into the decision.

The US Catholic Bishops have played a major part in it, too.

According to the Refugee Resettlement Fact Sheet:

The leading refugee source countries for the U.S. program in recent years are, in order of admission numbers, Iraq, Burma, Bhutan, Iran and Somalia. The program has gradually shifted towards the resettlement of refugees from Muslim countries.

Refugee access to welfare on the same basis as a U.S. citizen has made the program a global magnet.

Medium size towns, such as Nashville,TN, Ft. Wayne, IN, Boise, ID and Manchester, NH, are serving as the main reception centers for the refugee program.

Refugees receive waivers for diseases, such as HIV, that would otherwise be cause for a bar to entry. Refugees are a major contributing factor to TB rates among the foreign-born. TB among the foreign-born now accounts for about half of the TB in America.

Not one of these vile creatures belongs on our continent.

The USCCB is a disaster.

When I worked for the Census a few years ago we had to use a Roman Catholic church to meet one week.

One of the first things you saw when you entered it was a room for migration services.

But it's not just them, the Episcopal, Methodists, and the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society are also doing their best to culturally strip-mine this country.

In Minneapolis and in Fargo, it is the Lutherans who are bringing the Somalis in. It isn’t just the Catholics, who generally prefer to do their missions abroad.

What exactly gives the State Department that right?

It's probably some unholy alliance between the Feds and State officials whereby Tennessee gets "resettlement funds" or some other slush fund. That and cheap coolie labor for the country club types. Libs get extra "social services clients" and a dependable (dependent) voter bloc. A pox on all their houses.

Meanwhile, normal Tennesseans see our cities become third-world $h*t holes. I'm sorry, but I've had with this sort of stuff.
