Todd Cefaratti, the president of TheTeaParty.net, has a message for Republicans and Democrats alike: This is just the beginning. If you think the tea partys dead, you aint seen nothing yet.
At a press conference inside the Capitol Hill Club in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday afternoon, Cefarrattis organization and several House Republicans joined with Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul to decry House GOP leadership considering capitulating to Democratic efforts to raise taxes during the fiscal cliff negotiations.

Woo-hoo.
Go get ‘em.
How come they seemed AWOL this election cycle, though?
Because the GOP ran Willard.
“Paul then rattled off a short list of what he considers wasteful Washington spending that needs to be eliminated before any talk of new revenue or taxes takes place. ‘Come to me when youve gotten rid of the $3 million you spent last year to watch monkeys on methamphetamine,’ Paul said. ‘Come to me when you get rid of the $300,000 you spent last year developing a robotic squirrel to see if a rattlesnake will strike a robotic squirrel thats not wagging its tail apparently they couldnt get any real squirrels to volunteer and not wag their tails. They spent nearly a half a million dollars developing a menu for Mars. If you dont have a job and youre looking for a job, this is a good one: You get to go to Hawaii, you have to like food, and you sit around for a week and you think of things youd like to eat if you were on Mars. Theres also a $5,000 fee you get paid as well. Interestingly enough, after all of that, they think pizza would be good on Mars.’
Personally, I think pizza is fgood anywhere. That is a given. Spending quality time in Hawaii to figure that out at taxpayer expense? Ridiculous.
These lists of ridiculous wasteful spending are cute, but even at the $300M level, they’re not going to fix the problem.
Here’s my list:
Cut the EPA by 90%
Cut HHS by 80%
Overturn Obamacare
Cut the Dept. of Education, because it’s NOT a Federal responsibility.
Cut the Dept. of the Interior by 50%
Cut the Dept. of Commerce by 50%
Enact Medicare & Medicaid Reform for those under 50.
Enact Tort Reform so Doc’s aren’t performing defensive medicine.
Allow cross-state competition for Health Ins.
Enact Social Security Reform, and allow ELECTIVE private accounts.
(politicians don’t like this because SSI currently feeds the General Fund, and contributes to the amount available for them to WASTE on ANYTHING!........There is NO “LockBox”!)
Privatize the TSA.
Of all the...
I thought these people were so concerned about cruelty to animals. Hypocrites as usual.
Paul/Paul 2016!
Here’s hoping such press conferences become only louder and more often!
Nice beginning...I like it!
Your list is a good start
get this?
Stop being so damn freaking practical!
When?
How come they seemed AWOL this election cycle, though?

But they were all conservative but didn’t see that voting that way would benefit them in the long run.
We are not going to reach these voters with any more pasty white guys. TEA needs to color up even more, now that the content of one’s character is REALLY trumped by the color of one’s skin.
Start the “changes” at the state level.
Make the Tenth Amendment relevant again!
A word of warning everyone...
Make sure that whatever person/people start leading the parade under the “Tea Party” banner ARE IN FACT CONSERVATIVE and NOT GOP PLANTS.
It’s time for people to start paying serious attention and it’s time to root out ‘Tea Party “Leaders” that are not who and what they appear to be.
I’m not saying this guy is a plant. Not at all. I’m just saying don’t get sucked in to a psyop campaign like many did in the primaries.
PAY ATTENTION!
Not an excuse.
Right.
Now that the war is over, you idiots come out swinging.
Thanks.
The Republicans did not regain a majority in the House because of anything that John Boehner did. They won it in spite of him. And they lost it in 2006 in large part because of him. Why on earth should he be Speaker and the beneficiary of the work of conservatives? He needs to go. Yesterday.
