My hope is that this will not disintegrate into another hysterical demand for banning guns. My friend Daniel Greenfield says it best:
THE ONLY WAY TO STOP A MAN WITH A GUN IS WITH A GUN
Will there be a movement afoot to limit the number of guns someone has? I live by myself and have several guns. Some of them would have been used by my husband, but he is no longer on this earth, so now I have these guns.
If it was broadcast to the public that I have more than one gun, would the public think there must be something wrong with me?
I just hated that the mom was dumped on because she had 6 guns. Maybe, when the divorce happened, the husband left some guns there. We don't know and besides she could have 50 guns if she got them legally.
Oh, I forgot another gun I have. It's a long rifle used in the revolutionary war. Very long and uses powder and ball. Several years ago, I had it professionally cleaned. It used to hang over the fireplace. Does that one mean I might use it to shoot someone? The only way I would know how to use that antique, is to use it as a club. It is very heavy.
Endless. Everybody has to say something about it. A lot of something. My Fakebook “friends”, whom I’ve never met, and who are living on some other continent, have to post lists of victims and anti-gun manifestos. A lot of something and then more.
