I married a foreigner, and we had to deal with INS for several years - it was always surprising to me to encounter so many INS workers who were not only foreign born and raised, but who spoke English badly and with a heavy accent.

Chojecki, 61, is alleged to have facilitated fraudulent marriages in exchange for cash payments from at least April 2010 through November 2012. The indictment alleges that Chojecki introduced aliens and United States citizens to each other for the purpose of their entering into fraudulent marriages to evade U.S. immigration laws. The indictment further alleges that Chojecki provided the aliens with fraudulent immigration forms that he prepared for them, sample questions that he anticipated they might be asked by immigration officials and guidance on steps they should take to make it appear that their marriages were legitimate...http://www.justice.gov/usao/can/news/2012/2012_12_10_chojecki.indicted.press.html.. It says here he may have $250,000 fine.... Chojecki released on a $170,000 unsecured bond, with the condition of electronic monitoring.. In other words cut the electronic monitoring device so that he can flee and never be seen or heard from again. They trust Chojecki so much he gets released on on a $170,000 unsecured bond. They may as well have taken him to the airport and provided him with a 1 way ticket to Poland.
