I also managed to babysit once at a place that literally was The Last House on the Left— and it happened to be Elm Street.
My son and I stayed up watching scary movies a year or two ago. I found the full version of When a Stranger Calls on YouTube. It started off pretty darn scary, but when they revealed the killer in the middle and started probing his psychology it took all the fun out of it. He was rather pathetic and not scary at all. Then there was some weird bit too where he was trying to pick up Colleen Dewhurst.
I thought the modern version of it from 2006 was more scary. And I’m not really into scary movies as a genre.
