"Those who served in Vietnam have fond memories of the traveling cover bands, usually very good, and their female dancers and singers, also very good and sexy. I'd include these show people who brought fun into our lives in Vietnam. Cinammon Stillwell is an accomplished reporter. Her mother made this documentary about the entertainers who visited us wherever we were in Vietnam. It is one of a kind, something that to my knowledge has not been documented before. The film does not have an embed, so you have to go to this site to watch it. I know that us Vietnam vets will, and I think others out there will enjoy it and learn something different than many misconceptions." [Film 53 min.]

Sorry - the link is right, but it will not load for me at all with Firefox or Chrome, and is too choppy to be watchable with Internet Explorer. That could be due to my location (Asia) - dunno for sure.

This was what I clicked on (Firefox user) - it is imbedded in the link. I thought I was going to watch a few minutes of it while I had a snack. Ended up watching the entire thing! Entertaining, educational, emotional.
Very good, thank you
It’s working for me now. Thanks.
A lot of brave people went there, no matter what they did. Like they said, We thought it was an adventure. Most of my buddies, including me, said “We can’t get killed.” That went away after a month. Thanks for a civilian view. Did you know in ‘68 or ‘69 Bob Hope had a show in Cu Chi and at the same time Charlie had entertainment in the tunnels seven foot beneath his stage?
Oh No...Wonder if they got his jokes??? Ha! I didn’t know that.
I found the following (from his autobiography) on General Schwarzkopf yesterday that fits in:
I prided myself on being unflappable even in the most chaotic of circumstances, he wrote. That guise lasted until Vietnam, where I realized that I was dealing with human lives and if one were lost, it could never be replaced. I quickly learned that there was nothing wrong with being emotional.
He was commissioned a second lieutenant and served two tours of duty in Vietnam, where he received three Silver Stars.
