A lot of brave people went there, no matter what they did. Like they said, We thought it was an adventure. Most of my buddies, including me, said “We can’t get killed.” That went away after a month. Thanks for a civilian view. Did you know in ‘68 or ‘69 Bob Hope had a show in Cu Chi and at the same time Charlie had entertainment in the tunnels seven foot beneath his stage?
