"The Alabama Department of Homeland Security is receiving quite a bit of press surrounding a video it released in an effort to educate the public about active shooter scenarios.
The clip, entitled Run Hide Fight, is a dramatic reenactment that showcases steps one should take in the event of an emergency situation. Although the video was made before the Connecticut shootings, Collier said it was originally scheduled to be distributed in January. But that was moved up because of the shooting at the elementary school.
Collier said the video will be offered for training purposes to law enforcement agencies. It will also be used to help train education officials and private employers.

i made proposed that we make something simplar. i woudl filla classroom with volunteers, who had no idear what was going to happen. then i would heva e guy with a squirt gun come in and start squirting people, pausing after even sixth discharge to simulate reloading. everyone hit by the spray would be either dead or wounded. i wouuld time hom long it would take for him to kill everyone. then i would time how long it would take for someone to dial 911. then i would rerun the experiment with one or two students armed with their own squirt guns and see what happens.
i was denied permissionbecause the experiment might be trraumatic
Any more graphic than the thousands of video games and movies that reenact mass murder that our chillren watch on a daily basis?
Spell check police to arrive in 5,4,3...
Nope. Forget it. They had a stoke over the sheer number.
(I guess - based on your screen name - that spelling IS NOT your strong suit.)
Friends don’t let friends phone in their posts. :]
lol! never said i could spell...
especially if the bad guy is between them and the door
I wonder how these folks’ Confederate ancestors would feel about “Run” and “Hide” being the first two steps in the process?
Notice in the video at 1+24 Mr. Nut Man walks right by a “No Concealed Weapons” sign. But, but - can’t he read?
Well... if we go by screen name, then most FREEPERS are in trouble.
It is my guess that CAMLE is inputting this text via a phone touch pad. If you have done much of this, it is very frustrating, as you have a 1 out of 3 chance of getting the right 'letter' each time you touch a key. Backing up to 'fix' a mistake is either tedious or impossible.
That anyone can find the time to enter a message that long via a phone seems almost miraculous.
Sometimes 'spelling' is not the user's problem or limitation, it is the technology.
Good Catch...I missed that.clever coppers sneaking that in
i kudent reezist.
actually CAMLE is the correct spelling. loooking at the origional post, just about everything ELSE is spelle wrong. notbad considering that i had a great deal of help form the cat whilst typing;-)
“i made proposed that we make something simplar. i woudl filla classroom with volunteers, who had no idear what was going to happen.”
I was taking a Terrorism class years ago, and the instructor had arranged for the FBI CT/HRT boys to bust in with fake weapons, including RPGs.
Then she found out that one of the students was an off-duty cop who was carrying...
Because the sign on the door says no weapons allowed on the premises and so the victims are left with fire extinguishers and other implements to fight a GUNMAN with. That's the reason I find it "upsetting."
Run or cower in fear.....and if you have to find something to fight with so you at least feel like you did something before dying.
Never fear, your military is made to watch this Department of Homeland Stupidity video as well.
I like the idea. I would however use paintball guns and the volunteers would be congress critters.
Oh I know. Posting from a “Smart” phone is rather dumb. I’ve done it. I hate doing it.
Ahh well. Has to be done sometimes.
