As Florida becomes the first state to register one million concealed carry permits and the Illinois’ legislature writes the nations’ most draconian gun-ban regulations, the US government is quietly using $1.6 billion in borrowed money to amass ammunition for the domestic operations of Homeland Security.

A 91 page standard transaction form filled out by the Department of Homeland Security Training Center in Glynco, GA reveals a staggering amount of ammunition purchased (in unit price in the thousands) by the Department. The .223 Rem Caliber 62/64 Grain JHP was purchased in quantity of...

Be able to pop car trunks and when they are out rousting your neighbors steal them blind.

Part of my plan is to acquire extra stuff as I go along.

I live about 2 miles from Wake County Police gun range. For the last several months, I have been hearing more and more fully automatic gun firing from that direction...

Oh good. You'll be safe when the balloon goes up then - they won't hit a thing.

I wonder to what degree these orders are displacing stock from shelves for consumers.

I generally buy reloads, and my normal seller has a notice on their website of a 4 week backlog because of lack of materials.
They cancelled their appearance at last weekend’s gun show because they have no stock.
I wonder if they’ll even have any when they come to town at the beginning of next month for the gun show.

I’m likewise tempted to cash in on the frenzy price for my Wilson Tactical 5.56mm, and Saiga 7.62x39mm, and then re-buy them in a year or so. I don’t intend to sell the magazines I have, but I’m not sure I can trust Boehner to not thwart a gun ban...

Will the GOP fold on some version of Feinstein’s gun ban?

Well, let's consider the GOP's performance WRT [with respect to] its own stated party-planks.

  1. Responsible spending -- given that the only way to be fiscally responsible, for the past decade [or two], has been to cut welfare and entire government agencies: how many times has the GOP pushed either?
  2. Overturn Row v. Wade / sanctity of life (no exceptions) -- given that the GOP fully endorsed (indeed pushed) a nominee who said "of course I suport the abortion in cases of rape, incest, or the mother's health."
  3. Firearms -- they get a lot of credit for the AWB [assault weapons ban] going away... but it had a sunset clause and they had to do nothing, literally nothing, for it to become inoperative.
What about GCA and NFA -- have you ever heard the GOP talking about repealing them?

I think it is safe to say that they were never about to stand in the way of firearm confiscation, liars and cowards they [as-a-party] be.

The purchase of 1.6 BILLION rounds of ammo and other weaponry, which may or may not include bullets banned by the Geneva Convention, leaves many Americans wondering why all this heavy stuff is needed inside the United States! For the DHS [Department of Homeland Security]operates only within the nation’s borders; only on American soil.

I have just a few questions for American liberals, "progressives" Socialists, communists, pacifists, Obugabebots and the reality-addicted morons...

Whom do you trust more with guns? The Private American citizen 99.999% of whom are law-observing and law-abiding?

OR

Your Government, who...
Promised total teansparency and has been 100% transparency-challenged for 4 years?
A regime which has broken too many Constitutional restrains to mention?
A Justice Department who picks and chooses which overt criminals to prosecute?
A bureaucracy with an average IQ of around 70?

YOUR CHOICE!

Good luck.

I’ve been to a couple of gun shows fairly recently. When the doors opened, there were hundreds of cases of ammo...all calibers.

Within a couple of hours.....sold out.

Uncle Sugar’s not the only one stocking up. Makes me proud to see so many patriots ready to defend our constitution.
