I don’t know about who is perceived to own this. The argument that it is the GOP not allowing this in seems to be flying for them. They know no one checks back on this stuff.

Woo-hoo! People at my company get to enjoy paying more this year for health insurance (starting at $85 and going up to $200 minimum in July) we get taxed more too! Yeah! I am getting a part time job to make up for it.

I’m a public employee, and my social security withholding is going up 2% (to go along with the third year of a pay freeze.)

Why wait? Take 2% of your annual salary, and divide b y the number of checks you receive annually...you’ll get a rough idea of what to expect.

You are wise. Been laid off twice since 2008. Started my own business. Actually, a side business that I am now depending on. Making half my last salary. Hoping to equal my previous salary by next Christmas.
I was on a non-political message board this morning, and a member was upset about her paycheck. The check covered the period ending December 31, 2012. She thought the higher tax wouldn’t be applied till her next paycheck for work starting this month.

I know that. However, “they” cannot seem to figure that out.
The problem at my office is that the final 2 week pay of 2012 ending on 12/30/12 was taxed at the new tax rate because the check was printed in 2013. We’re trying to find out why.
I’m still trying to wrap my head around the tax increase when there wasn’t supposed to be on for the 97%. So, we get one our two (remember the Obamacare tax)and say like the GOP did, “It’s the best deal we can get”.
Of course we knew this was coming where the left side of the 97% believed their ‘messiah’ would take them to the promised land. He was (is) in paradise (Hawaii). All I see are the illegals of Los Angeles. Not very pretty.
