Skip to comments.2013: Resist or Disarm. Start deciding now what form your resistance will take.

"The meek, he had been told, would inherit the earth, but only when the last soldier left it to them in his will." -- Captain Richard Sharpe, in Sharpe's Company by Bernard Cornwell, Chapter 10.
Sebastian, the ultimate pragmatist, has presented his read on the bills now entered, or about to be entered, into Congress: "We have a lot of work to do on the magazine issue. Most people, at this point, even pundits and elites, know the assault weapons issue is a crock of shit. The magazine issue is a different story." I left this comment on his blog which was not approved:
It doesn't matter what they pass, enough of us will defy it to make the choice mandatory for the rest of you. Fight or disarm.
Sebastian and other Fudd "pragmatists" may continue to hide from this reality if they choose, but J.D. Longstreet understands this in his piece The Next American Civil War:
At first glance it appears to be lunacy of the highest orderand yethere we are on the cusp of violence to defend something the political left, an authoritarian cabal itself, cannot abide, AT ALL: personal freedom, individual freedom. . .
And now they intend to disarm us.
Look. There is so much pent-up anger in America today that if this argument over gun control ever gets beyond the talking stage it is reasonable to believe there will be violence on a scale not seen since the 1860s in this country.
These fears are reinforced by the promises of the antis to 'pry guns from cold, dead fingers'.
But the time has not come to begin shooting -- yet. Feinstein's Intolerable Act has not yet passed, let alone begun to be enforced. The raid parties are

I’m not going to resist anything. I’d gladly turn them in if I hadn’t lost them in that da*n boating accident.
Americans have had it with the commie kids in the District of Corruption. I can see this getting very ugly.
My dog ate mine.
Let’s add another option. Infiltrate.
Strange but the same thing happened to me! My buddy who was with me at the time promised to mail the report to the police. Hope it gets there before they show up.
I’m getting older too. May have just laid them down somewhere or put them somewhere I’d remember but don’t. Like a hammer or something.
Pretty sure I had a gun or two but I have NO idea where they might be at this point in time.
What Good Can a Handgun Do Against An Army?
Choose this day whom you would serve.
Resist? I gave all my guns to my brother in law in PA!
Mine have been turned into an art project illustrating the historical nature of manufacturing around the world. Any attempt to confiscate is going against free speech and freedom of expression. Will they really start seizing artist’s works?
Sorry to hear about that boating accident. I had to sell mine to pay my taxes......they might check with the local gangs to see who has them now.
The corrupt ruling elitist can go look for them.
As I have been saying for a long period of time, even to predict we are closer now to a second American civil war. The seeds have been planted.
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Romans 13:1
And, I never even had any of those disgusting things.
Read it, learn it, prepare to live it.
Might want to refine the tactics a bit, but I like the strategy.
I haven’t lost a damned thing. I may lose my weapons, but that will be because I am dead and for no other reason.
I agree. However, we also have a body of laws that are self evident. So far this govt and others had decided those very laws don’t apply to them. That is, they are a law unto themselves. They’ve broken the contract we have with them. Those laws clearly define what authority the govt has and hasn’t. For some long time they’ve assumed powers and authority not theirs. So, it’s not as simplistic as your post might imply.
