Next I would like to see the Tea Party establish a Citizen Jury Rights and Responsibility team because conservatives and libertarians are going to need all the tools they can muster to blunt the fast-growing and now self-funding Leviathan State especially as it passes laws that are blatantly offend the Constitution and especially the Second Amendment. The citizen jury is really a Fourth Branch of our government because under the Constitution, no citizen can be convicted of a serious crime unless the accusation is judged by two juries, the grand for indictment and the petit jury at trial. It is within the power of jurors to vote their conscience to seek justice given the totality of the case the government brings before them. In the mid-1800's the federal government passed the Fugitive Slave Act that required citizens to aid federal officers in their pursuit of runaway slaves. Juries began to decline to convict people arrested for aiding these slaves and the government's ability to enforce the law collapsed. We may have similar tyranny as ObamaCare is imposed or GunGrabbing is passed. A peaceful way to protest these outrages is to frustrate government enforcement. μολών Labe

We don’t need an advocay group. We need a new party, one that will voluntarily impose term limits on itself.

The Re-Election Party (RATS plus the Go-Alongs) will never solve our problems.

Folks, BEWARE ANY GOP FRONTED TEA PARTY GROUP.

Remember how such groups infiltrated it already and then jumped on the Romney bandwagon.

Do NOT take whatever they say at face value.

Exactly and all trying to suck money out of our pockets. Which in turn keeps money from local groups. We are only associated with TEA Party Patriots and even they are constantly asking for it.

I am going to start doing fundraising drives to help us with local and state issues. This is where we have the impact, on the local level even with congress critters.

The Tea Party Patriots is a scam.

They show numerous affiliated groups on their site, but most of them don’t even meet and/or have only one member.

Some have probably fallen apart as have many around here in New York.

Last year (well 2011) we traveled to DC and spent 3 days in a hotel preparing for elections. They put us up, paid for our meals and said they would pay for our travel, I refused travel money.

Attending was close to 100 Patriots from around the country. We had classes all day and guest speakers including Louie Gohmert and other congressman that were allied with us. We had economic education classes that were great, it taught many how government works and spend us in to oblivion.

We had a few media classes where people were coached on how to give TV interviews, speech classes and presentation coaching. It was great and well worth the 5 days we spent there.

There are so many groups that have fallen apart due to infighting and people wanting the attention and credit. On the other hand, us here in the Buffalo/Niagara area have continued to grow in to 5 counties. All different groups and all affiliated. We all have our purpose on the local front but when we have to form together on state issues we do.

I have been the spokesman up here for the TEA Party movement and before that we were Primary Challenge and also did protests before TEA and Protests from the Conservative side was the popular thing to do.

Russ, no doubt you are the reason the parties there are coming together. These local groups have to have strong leadership in order to be effective. We have a strong local T.E.A. party that meets once a month. We have focused on local issues for the most part. We believe that the work has to be done bottom up. Our leader is a former Marine, so you can imagine we have a good group. He was instrumental in getting our county a delegate and it turned out to be him. This county has never had it’s own delegate. We had to share with another county. Our group worked to get our guys elected. Both of them were members of our party. We are still active and will be working to elect Shelley Moore Capito for Rocky’s Senate seat, and our own choice to replace Shelley in 2014. It’s going to take time and effort to change things, from the county to state to national. It will take all the Tea Parties doing this locally to finally prevail in getting our country back. The progressives took 100 years to take over. We will need patience and perseverance.

Right on Nan! And good for you and your group.
We have had few victories but we did defeat a liberal dem and replaced her with a good Conservative in congress this year.

We elected a new county comptroller that just started and is already kicking butt exposing multi millions in hidden expenditures on day 2 of his new job.

Elected a few to the NY Senate and Assembly so little by little we are gaining but, here in NY sometimes it is 2 steps forward one step back.

We have been successful in holding their feet to the fire.

It’s what we have to do Russ. One office at a time. The Comptroller is a real good start. That puts the money in good hands. Keep up the enthusiasm and patience.
