Obama Admin. Pushes to Restrict 2nd Amendment after Arming Mexican Cartels
Pundit Press ^ | 1/8/12 | Aurelius

It's an amazing show of absolute hypocrisy or a terribly cold-blooded power play. Either way, the Obama Administration is showing a shocking lack of common sense and prudence with its latest push for comprehensive gun control.

As late as 2011, the Department of Justice was giving automatic assault weapons to Mexican drug cartels...

This tremendous stupidity had the precise consequences you might expect: as of September 2011, US assault weapons connected to Fast and Furious were found at 170 crime scenes in Mexico. As of March 2011, 150 Mexicans had been shot because of Fast and Furious. US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed in cold blood...

The official line of the current administration, through both actions and words, has made it abundantly clear that, while they admit mistakes were made in Fast and Furious, the idea to arm Mexican drug cartels was a sound idea. Something that is not: allowing American citizens to own assault weapons.

In the wake of the tragic shootings in Newtown, the Obama Administration's outlines to limit gun ownership are taking form. Everyone must have a background check to own any firearm. Stiffening penalties for improperly using a weapon.

And most ludicrously and hypocritically of all, the Administration is pushing for a nationwide database to track the movement and sale of every single weapon in the United States. The same lack of tracking resulted in the deaths of possibly hundreds of Mexicans, and assuredly Americans.

Are you a law-abiding United States citizen? Congratulation, you have fewer rights to own guns than drug cartels in the middle of Mexico.

I have a hard question for Holder:

Why aren't you in prison?

The number of Mexican civilians murdered is much higher than that, and as of right now, THREE American Law Enforcement people have been murdered by walked guns...and maybe some American civilians as well.
Do NOT underestimate the absolute vindictiveness and utter cold blooded criminality of this administration. The life you save may be your own.

Dear Mr. Security Agent: A letter to law enforcement concerning gun control

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2975695/posts

A decade ago I wrote the novel Enemies Foreign and Domestic, a tale about how tragic events involving the misuse of firearms can be used by an evil administration to misinform and mold public opinion to support its malign anti-freedom policies.

No, my novel was not predicting “Operation Fast and Furious” a decade before that covert policy of “pursuing gun control under the radar,” (which was President Obama’s explanation to Sarah Brady for his lack of overt political action). That inter-agency gun-walking policy, remember, resulted in the deaths of over four hundred Mexicans and two U.S. federal agents, murdered in an effort to discredit the Second Amendment and lead to more restrictive gun control laws in America. (If Nixon—or any Republican, for that matter—were in office, the intentional bloodbath would be called Murdergate, but today’s collaborating Woodwards and Bernsteins are in on the cover-up.)

This guy is like the kid who is caught stealing cookies from the kitchen at night, who then argues for strict new cookie-theft laws.

Had a conversation with a young Mexican in a Laundromat back in So Cal a year or two ago. He told me that he visits his home town back in Mexico every now and then. He claimed that the Mexican Drug Cartels had attempted to take over his town. The mayor ended up giving guns to every citizen and told them there would be no questions if they killed cartel members. That cleaned up his town real quick.
